Hola a todas las mamis de @motherhood, un gusto saludarles con este post donde les quiero contar que mi hija Marcela esta semana tuvo su Acto de Prosecución Académica para la Educación Primaria. Nos vamos a PRIMER GRADO! Estuve en una montaña rusa de emociones y sentimientos estos últimos días porque la verdad es una mezcla de muchas cosas que pasan por tu cabeza y corazón.

Hello to all the moms of @motherhood, a pleasure to greet you with this post where I want to tell you that my daughter Marcela this week had her Academic Prosecution Act for Primary Education. We are going to FIRST GRADE! I've been on a roller coaster of emotions and feelings these last few days because the truth is a mixture of many things that go through your head and heart.

El día comenzó con la Eucaristía de Acción de Gracias en la Iglesia Parroquial de San Juan Bautista, mis hijas estudian en un Colegio Católico que está ligado a la Parroquia siendo el Padre Andrés el Director del Colegio. Un colegio donde nos conocimos mi esposo y yo hace 18 años y nos hicimos novios, y un colegio en el que ahora yo trabajo, pero después les cuento más.

The day began with the Thanksgiving Eucharist in the Parish Church of San Juan Bautista, my daughters study in a Catholic School that is linked to the Parish, Father Andrés being the Director of the School. A school where my husband and I met 18 years ago and we became boyfriends, and a school where I now work, but I'll tell you more later.

La misa fue muy chévere, muy diferente por estar llena de niños, tanto que el Padre dio su homilía sentado en las escaleras de la iglesia rodeado de todos los niños promovidos. También se entregaron ofrendas y ahí podemos ver a mi pequeña Miranda coleada para recibir la bendición.

The mass was very cool, very different because it was full of children, so much so that Father gave his homily sitting on the steps of the church surrounded by all the promoted children. Offerings were also delivered and there we can see my little Miranda coleada to receive the blessing.

Luego de la misa comienza el acto en el Salón, a los niños los reciben sus maestras y los representantes pasan a esperar que ellos hagan su entrada. Ambas maestras de Marcela son muy jóvenes, cariñosas y amables. Además, la maestra de la izquierda es su Tía, es la hermana de mi esposo. Es su sobrina mayor así que ella también estaba muy contenta.

After mass, the act begins in the Hall, the children are received by their teachers and the representatives wait for them to make their entrance. Both of Marcela's teachers are very young, caring and kind. Also, the teacher on the left is her Aunt, she is my husband's sister. She is his oldest niece so she was very happy too.

Fueron pasando los niños acompañados de sus maestras y compañeros de sección. Marcela estuvo sentada cerca de nosotros, nos miraba con esa sonrisa nerviosa, emocionada, nos saludaba y sus ojitos brillaban de alegría. Después de las palabras de la Directora Académica y de algunas maestras, fue el momento importante de Marcela pues ella debía hablar frente a todos sobre el Héroe Epónimo de la Promoción, en esta oportunidad “El Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho”. Fue escogida de 75 alumnos para hablar sobre este prócer de la Independencia de Venezuela y con mucho entusiasmo se aprendió parte de su vida.

The children accompanied by their teachers and classmates passed by. Marcela was sitting near us, she looked at us with that nervous, excited smile, she greeted us and her little eyes sparkled with joy. After the words of the Academic Director and some teachers, it was the important moment for Marcela because she had to speak in front of everyone about the Eponymous Hero of the Promotion, this time "The Great Marshal of Ayacucho". She was chosen from 75 students to talk about this hero of the Independence of Venezuela and with great enthusiasm she learned part of his life.

Marcela recibe su certificado de manos de la Directora Académica y sus dos maestras, Aracelis y su Tía Clara. Además, detrás de Marcela podemos ver a la Coordinadora de Prescolar que es su abuela, la mamá de mi esposo. Sí, ya se que deben pensar que ahí trabaja toda la familia jajaja, pero bueno es la verdad. Fue un día muy especial para todos al ser la nieta mayor.

Marcela receives her certificate from the Academic Director and her two teachers, Aracelis and her Aunt Clara. Also, behind Marcela we can see the Preschool Coordinator who is her grandmother, my husband's mother. Yes, I know you must think that the whole family works there hahaha, but it's the truth. It was a very special day for everyone being the oldest granddaughter.

Después de entregarle los certificados a todos los niños nos dieron unos minutos para tomar algunas fotos y abrazar a nuestros tesoros. Yo estaba muy muy feliz ese día, veía a mi hija tan grande, tan fuerte, tan valiente y tan segura. Sus maestras anteriores también fueron a darle un beso y un abrazo y a tomarse una foto de recuerdo con ella.

After handing out the certificates to all the children we were given a few minutes to take some photos and hug our treasures. I was very very happy that day, I saw my daughter so big, so strong, so brave and so sure. Her previous teachers also came to give her a kiss and a hug and to take a souvenir photo with her.

Minutos después se fueron con sus maestras para cambiarse y presentarnos un baile alusivo al proyecto final. Las niñas como margariteñas y los niños como pescadores. Estuvo muy bonito el baile que prepararon además de las canciones de despedida que cantaron al final para que todos lloráramos. Todo estuvo muy organizado y ordenado, todos los niños con sus nuevos uniformes se veían hermosos y muy contentos llenos de sonrisas.

Minutes later they left with their teachers to change and present us with a dance alluding to the final project. The girls as margariteñas and the boys as fishermen. The dance they prepared was very nice, in addition to the farewell songs they sang at the end so that we all cried. Everything was very organized and orderly, all the children with their new uniforms looked beautiful and very happy full of smiles.

El día fue más especial porque también fue promovido a Primer Grado el primito Reniel, quien es hijo de uno de mis primos-hermanos. Así que ahí estamos en familia celebrando el logro de estos dos primos, amiguitos, compañeros y compinches Marcela y Reniel.

The day was more special because cousin Reniel, who is the son of one of my cousins-brothers, was also promoted to First Grade. So there we are as a family celebrating the achievement of these two cousins, friends, colleagues and cronies Marcela and Reniel.

El único deseo de Marcela ese día era salir a comer porque el acto termino justo al mediodía. Estaba muerta de hambre y cansada, así que la complacimos y la llevamos a nuestra pizzería favorita. Fue nuestra manera de celebrar su buen trabajo, su dedicación y disposición para todo lo que tiene que ver con la escuela porque de verdad Marcela fue una de las alumnas resaltantes. Siempre fue muy dedicada y aprovechamos para hablar con ella más profundo sobre los cambios que va a vivir en septiembre, pero ella muy tranquila respondía que si a todo. Ahora entiendo que más nerviosa estoy yo con la idea de que va a la escuela grande, que es en el mismo colegio pero otro edificio, que me preocupan muchas cosas y me asustan otras, pero sé que solo es el comienzo de una etapa quizás complicada pero muy bonita en la que mi pequeña cada vez se hará más independiente (me aterra) pero me agrada porque para estoy, para acompañarla y darle las herramientas que hagan falta en su camino.

Marcela's only wish that day was to go out to eat because the act finished right at noon. She was starving and tired, so we indulged her and took her to our favorite pizzeria. It was our way of celebrating her good work, her dedication and willingness for everything that has to do with the school because Marcela was truly one of the outstanding students. She was always very dedicated and we took the opportunity to talk with her in more depth about the changes she is going to experience in September, but she very calmly answered yes to everything. Now I understand that I am more nervous with the idea that he is going to the big school, that it is in the same school but in another building, that many things worry me and others scare me, but I know that it is only the beginning of a perhaps complicated stage but very beautiful in which my little girl will become more and more independent (it terrifies me) but I like it because I am there for her, to accompany her and give her the tools that are needed on her way.

Estoy orgullosa de que Marcela sea mi hija y la amo por sobre todas las cosas, celebro sus victorias y estaré aquí para llorar con ella si hace falta. Siempre. Soy bendecida y afortunada de tenerla en mi vida y caminar a su lado en cada etapa que llega. Así es la maternidad.

I am proud that Marcela is my daughter and I love her above all things, I celebrate her victories and I will be here to cry with her if necessary. Always. I am blessed and lucky to have her in my life and walk by her side in every stage that comes. So is motherhood.
