This week's questionnaire focuses on friendship—specifically female friendship. You know, female friends are often our partners-in-crime and the ones who understand us best—though, of course, that isn't always the case; it doesn't happen in every instance.

1️⃣ There's a long-standing belief that genuine female friendships are rare to find or difficult to sustain. Has this influenced the way you approach or interact with other women in your space? Are there aspects of female friendships that you have come to appreciate the most, and how have you also navigated the challenges that comes with building something intentional with females?
1️⃣Existe una antigua creencia de que las amistades femeninas genuinas son raras de encontrar o difíciles de mantener. ¿Ha influido esto en la forma en que te acercas o interactúas con otras mujeres en tu espacio? ¿Hay aspectos de las amistades femeninas que has llegado a apreciar más? ¿Y cómo has superado también los desafíos que conlleva construir algo intencional con mujeres?
Honestly, I don’t think genuine female friendships are rare or hard to maintain—well, at least that hasn't been my experience. I’ve certainly had long-lasting friendships with women I could trust, and they’ve been there for me through both the best and worst times. I feel that we women understand each other better; of course, there are exceptions where men manage to understand you too, but women usually share a certain affinity with one another—precisely because we know about hormonal surges that lead to mood swings, as well as intuition and all those other traits we women possess.
Honestamente yo n creo que las amistades femeninas genuinas sean raras de encontrar o difícil de mantener, bueno, al menos no sucede así en mi caso, yo sí que he tenido amigas duraderas en las cuales he confiado y han estad en los mejores y peores momentos, pienso que entre mujeres nos entendemos mejor, claro que ha habido casos en los que los hombres son la excepción y llegan a entenderte también, pero las mujeres usualmente mantienen cierta afinidad con als demás, precisamente porque conocen de estallidos hormonales que conducen a cambios de ánimo, saben de intuición y de todas esas cosas que las mujeres tenemos.
2️⃣ Tell us about a memorable friendship experience that made you realize you had found someone who would always have your back. What did they do that left such a lasting impression on you, and how has that friendship changed your view about life?
2️⃣ Cuéntanos sobre una experiencia de amistad memorable que te hizo darte cuenta de que habías encontrado a alguien que siempre te respaldaría. ¿Qué hicieron que te dejó una impresión tan duradera y cómo esa amistad cambió tu visión de la vida?
I have always said that Victoria is my closest friend; we have known each other for over twenty years, ever since we were first making plans to enter university. From the very start, we felt a strong connection; we have always shared our concerns, triumphs, and failures, acting as each other's shoulder to cry on and standing by one another through the best and worst of times with good advice and words of encouragement. I have always described her as a "being of light"—one of the noblest people I have ever known. She taught me so much—for instance, that there is a time and a place for everything in life, and that when something is meant for you, no force can stand in the way. That is why, even though we aren't bound by blood, she is and always will be more than just a friend to me: she is my sister.
Siempre lo he dicho, mi mejor amiga entre todas es Victoria, nos conocemos desde hace más de veinte años cuando estábamos iniciando gestiones para ingresar a la universidad y la verdad es que desde el momento 0 ambas sentimos que conectamos muy bien, siempre compartimos nuestras inquietudes, triunfos y fracasos, cada una se convirtió en el pañuelo de lágrimas de la otra y estuvimos en nuestros mejores y peores momentos, siempre acompañándonos con buenos consejos y palabras alentadoras, pero siempre he dicho que ella es un ser de luz, una de las personas más nobles que he conocido. Ella me enseñó muchas cosas como que por ejemplo para todo existe un tiempo y un espacio en la vida y que cuando algo es para ti no existe fuerza capaz de oponerse, y por eso siempre he dicho que a pesar de que no estamos unidas por la sangre, ella es y siempre será más que mi amiga, mi hermana.
