Hello talented and amazing people, what's good? For me I'm chilling and am happy to be participating in this week's rendition. But before I proceed, I want to give it up for the founder and Admins of Afri-tunes community for the amazing work they are putting in to make sure this platform keeps rolling!
This week I'm bringing you a cover of a core Afro beat by one of Nigerias finest hipop artists by the name of Joe Boy, tittled Alcohol
This is one of the songs that made great wave and trend when it was released and unfortunately a lot of persons interpreted the song the wrong way by making videos of themselves taking harmful substances in the name of "sipping" alcohol as mentioned by the singer in the song. Fortunately, Joe boy took to his social media to discourage such misrepresentation and misinterpretation of the message of his song by unsuspecting social media users.
A more meaningful look into the song will reveal that the singer was insinuating that he does not need any stress or depressing thoughts disturbing him, hence he sips alcohol as a way of removing himself from the frenzy of the madness around in the society.
This is a perfect song for chilling and vibing and since the weekend is approaching, I recommend this song for you as you chill and vibe this weekend!!!
