Hive Book Club Contest #3 : All About Readers/ Todo Sobre los Lectores

Happy day friends, reading is one of my favorite hobbies because it takes me to places that I may never have the opportunity to visit and that I can imagine through words. At the invitation of my friend @yolimarag to participate in this contest, here I share with you my answers to the questions asked.

Feliz día amigos, la lectura es uno de mis pasatiempos favoritos porque me lleva a lugares que quizás nunca tenga la oportunidad de visitar y que puedo imaginar a través de las palabras. Atendiendo a la invitación de mi amiga @yolimarag para participar en este concurso acá les dejo las repuestas a las preguntas formuladas.

What is your favorite time or place to read?/ ¿Cuál es tu momento o lugar favorito para leer?

I like to read before going to bed and in the comfort of my bed, since I am a housewife, housework is very time consuming and creating content for hive also requires my attention. That is why the night when I have free time and I dedicate it to reading, it also helps me sleep and sometimes as a reward I dream about what I read. That is why I do not like to read books that contain violence or terror because I do not want to have nightmares. My favorite books are those that revolve around topics of personal improvement and books based on real life where the protagonists have managed to overcome adversity.

Me gusta leer antes de acostarme a dormir y en la comodidad de mí cama, ya que como ama de casa las labores del hogar me consumen mucho tiempo y crear contenido para hive también requiere de mi atención. Es por ello que la noche es el tiempo que tengo libre y lo dedico a leer, además me ayuda a dormir y de recompensa a veces sueño sobre lo que leo. Por eso no me gusta leer libros que contengan violencia o terror porque no quiero tener pesadillas. Mi lectura favorita es sobre temas de superación personal y libros basados en la vida real donde los protagonistas hayan logrado superar adversidades.

What makes you enjoy a book?/ ¿Qué te hace disfrutar de un libro?

I really enjoy the place where the plot of the book takes place, I imagine that I am there while the author describes the landscape, I really am transported to that place and I feel everything that the author describes, be it the breeze or the aromas, whether they are open-air landscapes where the landscapes described are beautiful. I close my eyes and travel there. Although the plot should also be interesting and has to catch my attention for me to continue reading it. If I do not like it, I confess that I turn the pages and get to the end without much interest.

Disfruto mucho del sitio donde se desarrolla la trama del libro, me imagino que estoy allí mientras el autor describe el paisaje, de verdad que me transporto a ese sitio y siento todo lo que describe el autor, ya sea la brisa o los aromas, si son paisajes al aire libre donde los paisajes descritos son hermosos cierro los ojos y viajo allí. Aunque la trama también debe ser interesante y debe atraparme para continuar leyendo, sino les confieso que paso las páginas y llego hasta el final leyendo sólo párrafos para saber en qué termina sin mucho interés.

Do you like to read outside, before bed, or on the bus on the way to work?/ ¿Le gusta leer al aire libre, antes de acostarse o en el autobús de camino al trabajo?

As I already mentioned I read before going to bed, but if I have free time I like to sit in my garden and enjoy a good book and my beautiful plants, since I love nature, especially flowers. I have a little corner in my patio where I sit and read in the open air, although not as much as I would like, the flowers give me their scent. There I feel like I'm in paradise doing something I love, reading.

Como ya mencioné leo antes de acostarme, pero si tengo tiempo libre me gusta sentarme en mi jardín y disfrutar de un buen libro y de mis hermosas plantas, ya que amo la naturaleza, en especial las flores. Tengo un rinconcito en mi patio donde me siento a leer al aire libre, aunque no tanto como me gustaría, las flores me regalan su aroma. Allí siento que estoy en el paraíso haciendo algo que amo, leer.

Do you focus on character development, thoughtful messages, or the level of intrigue a plot generates in you?/ ¿Te enfocas en el desarrollo del personaje, los mensajes reflexivos o el nivel de intriga que genera una trama en ti?

When I read a book I always try to think about what the author wants to convey with their work, what can I learn from the characters and understand the development of the book, but I must confess that there are books that are not easy to read and to understand them, I have to read them several times and take notes.

When I find reflective messages in a book and I like them, I write them down in a notebook and then I think about what they mean to me and what I can learn from them.

The development of the characters is important to me, because I always identify with some of them, in my imagination I live what they do and feel their joys and sufferings. I believe that a book must be lived and enjoyed to the fullest, reading rejoices the heart and teaches you to fly.

Siempre trato cuando leo un libro de pensar en lo que quiere trasmitir el autor con su obra, qué puedo aprender de los personajes y de entender el desarrolla el libro, pero debo confesar que hay libros que no son fáciles de leer y para poder entender hay que leerlo varias veces y tomar notas.
Cuando encuentro mensajes reflexivos en un libro y me gustan los escribo en un cuaderno y luego pienso en qué significado tienen para mí y qué puedo aprender de ellos.
El desarrollo de los personajes es importante para mí, porque me identifico siempre con alguno de ellos, en mi imaginación vivo lo que hacen y siento sus alegrías y sufrimientos. Creo que un libro hay que vivirlo y disfrutarlo al máximo, la lectura alegra el corazón y te enseña a volar.
