Mis tres olores favoritos y lo que me traslada a mi infancia.

Me considero una persona de gustos bastante simples, últimamente me he dedicado a contemplar las cosas que me rodean y apreciarlas; si algo me ha dejado esta pandemia es apreciar la vida sin mascarilla y cuando tengo la oportunidad lo hago y disfruto al máximo ese tiempo que transcurre sin esa barrera.

I consider myself a person of rather simple tastes, lately I have dedicated myself to contemplate the things that surround me and appreciate them; if anything this pandemic has left me is to appreciate life without a mask and when I have the opportunity I do it and I enjoy to the fullest that time that passes without that barrier.

Tierra mojada/Wet earth🌱

Hace poco aprendí que se llama perticor y es es e olor particular que invade el ambiente cuando llueve, me gustan los días lluviosos, me impacienta un poco cuando tengo que salir pero igual los disfruto. Tengo la dicha de vivir en una ciudad rodeada de muchos árboles y una montaña hermosa. Al mínimo rocío ese aroma invade todo y me traslada a momentos de café y vistas por la ventana.

I recently learned that it is called perticor and it is the particular smell that invades the atmosphere when it rains, I like rainy days, it makes me a little impatient when I have to go out but I still enjoy them. I am fortunate to live in a city surrounded by many trees and a beautiful mountain. At the slightest dew that aroma invades everything and takes me to moments of coffee and views out the window.

Es algo cliché tal vez pero el olor de la tinta sobre el papel tiene un encanto fascinante. Si algo aprovecho cuando tengo la oportunidad de tener un libro en físico es olerlo de vez en cuando pero shhhh! 🤫 Que se mantenga entre nosotros.

Eugenol😷🦷

Si les digo así posiblemente no sepan que es pero es el típico olor que tienen los dentistas. Cuenta mi madre que cuando me llevaba en su panza y trabajaba de asistente en el consultorio odontológico de mis padrinos, cada vez que destapaban el frasco de esta sustancia intensa; le daba sus buenos tirones; más adelante recuerdo las visitas después de clases abrazar a mi madrina ella siendo endodoncista estar impregnada de ese aroma. Y hoy yo siendo odontóloga; me complace muchas veces salir del consultorio con las manos oliendo a Eugenol pues aunque uses guantes y laves tus manos la esencia del aceite de clavos (base de este producto) te persigue por algunas horas más.
Definitivamente es uno de los olores que me traslada a bonitos momentos de mi infancia y me acerca a personas que ya no están conmigo.

If I tell you like this you may not know what it is, but it is the typical smell that dentists have. My mother tells me that when she carried me in her belly and worked as an assistant in the dental office of my godparents, every time they uncorked the bottle of this intense substance; she gave it a good tug; later I remember the visits after school hugging my godmother and her being an endodontist being impregnated with that aroma. And today, me being a dentist; it pleases me many times to leave the office with my hands smelling of Eugenol because even if you wear gloves and wash your hands, the scent of clove oil (base of this product) haunts you for a few more hours.
It is definitely one of the smells that takes me back to beautiful moments of my childhood and brings me closer to people who are no longer with me.
