A lonely and empty street,
I wondered,
Bars, empty rooms,
Have been left by the previous owners,
But the street had lights,

A sign of hope,
A lift to my mood
The future is bright.

Someday, the street will be filled with the voices of children,
The New generation will restore the land.

For now,
All I heard were echoes,
All I felt was air,
A quiet place to isolate oneself,
A dangerous place too.

The light brought in hope!

I wonder why the empty streets look dangerous to you. Where I live streets are empty at night (after shops close), during winter, and even in the summer. People have homes and jobs and do not live life outside on the streets.
