Amigos amantes de la lectura hoy les vengo a comentar sobre un libro que me dio muchos ratos de entretenimiento, conocimientos e intriga. El Dios de piedra despierta de Philiph Jose Farmer es un libro que a mi parece es muy completo y entretenido. Veamos el porqué.

En este libo seguiremos las Aventuras de Ullises Singing Bear Quien se sorprende al despertar millones de años en el futuro y descubrir que es el último humano que queda vivo sobre la tierra.
En este mundo él es visto como un Dios a pesar de que las criaturas con las que convive son superiores a él en cuanto a habilidades y aptitudes físicas, por ese mismo motivo algunos dudan de su supuesta “Divinidad” pero muchos otros lo alaban y acreditan debido a sus obras y conocimientos.

In this book we will follow the adventures of Ullises Singing Bear who is surprised to wake up millions of years in the future and discover that he is the last human left alive on earth.
In this world he is seen as a God even though the creatures he lives with are superior to him in terms of abilities and physical aptitudes, for that very reason some doubt his supposed "Divinity" but many others praise and credit him because of his deeds and knowledge.

MI ENCUENTRO CON EL LIBRO
Este libro lo compre en los días que estaba en la universidad, fui con un amigo donde un vendedor ambulante que tenía toda clase de libros, el señor leía los libros y luego los vendía. El libro se encontraba con otros seis con la misma portada pero con distintos títulos, supuse que era colección y quise comprarla completa, pero como a todo estudiante no me alcanzaba el dinero, este señor era muy amigable y me hizo una gran oferta, la mitad de la colección por un cuarto del valor de la colección completa. Tenía suficiente para esa oferta, pero de aceptarla no me quedaría dinero ni para el pasaje ni la comida. Tuve que resignarme a llevarme solo uno de los 6 libros, el resto los compraría cuando tuviese mas dinero.
Le pregunte al señor que con cual debía comenzar y me dijo que no lo sabía porque no recordaba bien la cronología pero que realmente no importaba. Entonces me decidí por “El Dios de piedra despierta.” Luego cuando tuve más dinero y quise comprar el resto de la colección el señor ya había dejado de vender los libros, ya que la cultura de la lectura se estaba perdiendo.

I bought this book when I was in college, I went with a friend to a peddler who had all kinds of books, the man read the books and then sold them. The book was with six others with the same cover but with different titles, I assumed that it was a collection and I wanted to buy it complete, but as any student I could not afford it, this man was very friendly and made me a great offer, half of the collection for a quarter of the value of the complete collection. I had enough for that offer, but if I accepted it, I would not have enough money left for airfare or food. I had to resign myself to take only one of the 6 books, the rest I would buy when I had more money.
I asked the man which one I should start with and he told me that he didn't know because he didn't remember the chronology but it didn't really matter. So I decided on "The Stone God Awakens." Then when I had more money and wanted to buy the rest of the collection the gentleman had already stopped selling the books, as the culture of reading was being lost.

DOES THE BOOK REALLY TEACH ANYTHING?
¿EL LIBRO REALMENTE ENSEÑA ALGO?
Sí. A pesar de que es del genero de ciencia ficción se ven muchas verdades científicas en él. Y no solo esto, como dije anteriormente las criaturas de este nuevo mundo son físicamente superiores a los humanos, ya que son animales con forma humanoide, manteniendo sus instintos y habilidades del mundo animal hasta un niño de alguna de estas especies es más fuerte o ágil que un humano adulto. Entonces ¿Porque veían a Ullises como un Dios? Además de una profecía de la que muchos eran escépticos, el poseía conocimientos de ciencia avanzada y sabia como fortalecer un ejército de felinos humanoides, proporcionándoles conocimiento, armas y nuevos recursos. Aquí la gran lección es: El cerebro siempre puede más.
Yes, even though it is a science fiction genre, there are many scientific truths in it. And not only this, as I said before the creatures of this new world are physically superior to humans, since they are animals with humanoid form, keeping their instincts and abilities of the animal world, even a child of one of these species is stronger or more agile than an adult human. So why did they see Ullises as a God? DO I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK?
¿RECOMIENDO ESTE LIBRO?
Si, como ya dije tiene de todo un poco, me falto destacar que también hay romance pero ese romance no me pareció del todo correcto, considerando que el tipo tiene millones de años más que cualquiera de las criaturas vivientes de ese mundo. Pero como resalte antes, hay acción, misterio, romance, enfrentamientos, también hay momentos de comedia, sin dudas una obra muy completa y con un final abierto. No lo recomiendo a los que le gustan que los libros tengan imágenes en ellos, aquí no hay ni uno.
Investigando un poco para ver si conseguía el resto de la serie de libros me di cuenta que este libro es muy raro, tanto que no se consigue de manera gratuita en internet. Y pensar que el mío pereció ante los dientes de una mascota de mi hermana.

Yes, as I said, it has a little bit of everything, I failed to highlight that there is also romance but that romance did not seem quite right, considering that the guy is millions of years older than any of the living creatures of that world. But as I highlighted before, there is action, mystery, romance, confrontations, there are also moments of comedy, undoubtedly a very complete work with an open ending. I do not recommend it to those who like books with images in them, there is not one here.
Doing some research to see if I could get the rest of the book series I realized that this book is very rare, so much so that you can't get it for free on the internet. And to think mine perished in the teeth of my sister's pet.

I would like to close by saying that I believe that the culture of reading should be something that lasts over time and that we should encourage creative reading. I don't know if that gentleman sold his books out of necessity, but I think he did because he liked them so much and you could see the joy on his face when someone else enjoyed them.
Me gustaría cerrar diciendo que creo que la cultura de leer debería ser algo que perdure en el tiempo y que deberíamos fomentar la lectura creativa. No se si ese señor vendía sus libros por necesidad, pero creo que era así porque le gustaban mucho y se notaba la alegría en su cara cuando alguien más disfrutaba de ellos.

He leído con atención tu publicación y créeme algo: si yo fuera un watcher, calificaría como plagio esta publicación. La razón: como tienes un error en la escritura del nombre del protagonista del libro, decidí hacer una búsqueda sencilla en internet y resulta que la introducción de tu post es exactamente igual que en muchas otras reseñas del libro en la web. Esto es motivo suficiente para ellos catalogarte como plagiario. De hecho, de tanto copiar y pegar esa introducción en muchos sitios, se tergiverso el origen etnico del protagonista de la historia.
La lectura del post incluso me deja mas dudas que respuestas. Mi recomendación: indica la fuente de donde tomaste la introducción de tu publicación o editala y agrega una introducción que sea propia, de tus propias palabras. Me parece que tu entrada es genuina por las referencias personales que compartes, pero a la hora de hablar del libro y con esa introducción que ya te mencione, se despiertan las dudas. Por favor, toma en cuenta esto para que te evites un mal rato. De todos modosa estoy a la orden para cualquier consulta. Saludos.
