El 24 de noviembre asistí a un evento denominado #Apocalyck, organizado por la academia online Social Oplesk y llevado a cabo en el Zavoo Club NFT, la primera Discoteca Cripto de toda Venezuela, la cual está ubicada en El Viñedo, Valencia, estado Carabobo.

Hi everyone! Welcome to this new post. On November 24 I attended an event called #Apocalyck, organized by the online academy Social Oplesk and held at Zavoo Club NFT, the first Crypto Disco in Venezuela, which is located in El Viñedo, Valencia, Carabobo state.

Llegué a este evento por recomendación de un amigo del trabajo, el cual me contó de un evento de Tecnología, Marketing, Web3, Gaming, y como venía con la experiencia de la Caracas Blockchain Week, me llamó mucho la atención y quise ir.

I came to this event on the recommendation of a friend from work, who told me about an event of Technology, Marketing, Web3, Gaming, and as I came with the experience of the Caracas Blockchain Week, it caught my attention and I wanted to go.

Escuchamos las palabras del fundador de Zavoo Club NFT, Andrés Fernández, el cual nos compartió de donde surgió la idea del club y su visión de unir el mundo real y el mundo digital, dándole una usabilidad a la tecnología Blockchain, no solo para el arte, sino para otros casos de uso.

We listened to the words of the founder of Zavoo Club NFT, Andrés Fernández, who shared with us where the idea of the club came from and his vision of uniting the real world and the digital world, giving usability to Blockchain technology, not only for art, but for other use cases.

Por ejemplo, nos hablo del potencial de los NFTs en los bienes inmuebles y sus planes de utilizar los NFTs como pase de entrada para sus instalaciones en Venezuela y pronto abrirán una discoteca en Colombia. Además de enviar una 20% de los consumos en cripto dentro de los locales a una wallet y luego dar beneficios a todos los aportantes.

Zavoo Club NFT también tiene una colección de obras de artes futuristas, de las cuales podemos ver en las pantallas de la discotecas, son hipontizantes, me gustaron mucho.

For example, he talked about the potential of NFTs in real estate and their plans to use NFTs as an entry pass for their facilities in Venezuela and soon they will open a nightclub in Colombia. In addition to sending 20% of consumption in crypto within the premises to a wallet and then giving benefits to all contributors.

Zavoo Club NFT also has a collection of works of futuristic art, which we can see on the screens of the nightclub, they are hypnotizing, I liked them a lot.

Posteriormente, escuchamos la charla de Andrew, el cual nos presentó el primer juego de mesa (físico) con tecnología Blockchain, llamado World Challenge Game (https://worldchallengegame.com/), un juego de mesa, así como el juego de conquista "Risk", el cual posee también una app móvil gratuita y una colección de NFTs. Me gusta la idea del juego porque combina la estrategia con la cultura general y su propuesta de valor es ofrecer una experiencia de juego 360° (física y virtual).

El juego posee modalidad Play to Earn y funciona gracias a la red de **Polygon **y Chainlink.

On the other hand, we listened to Andrew's talk, who introduced us to the first (physical) board game with Blockchain technology, called World Challenge Game (https://worldchallengegame.com/), a board game, as well as the conquest game "Risk", which also has a free mobile app and a collection of NFTs. I like the idea of the game because it combines strategy with general culture and its value proposition is to offer a 360° game experience (physical and virtual).

The game has a Play to Earn mode and is powered by the **Polygon **and Chainlink network.

Esta colección posee 9999 NFTs originales, de celebridades o personajes de la cultura popular y sus variaciones. También afirmaron que al comprar un NFT podrán obtener royalties o regalias del merchandising que se venda de ese personaje.

This collection has 9999 original NFTs, of celebrities or popular culture characters and their variations. They also stated that by purchasing an NFT they will be able to obtain royalties or royalties from the merchandising sold of that character.

Además de esto, nos presentaron al equipo detras del proyecto, poseen sede física en España y tienen varios aliados importantes como Polygon, la Universitat Politécnica de Valencia, Bit2Me o la Universidad Europea de Valencia, entre muchos otros. Lo cual me parece muy impresionante. Su token es el $WORLD.

In addition to this, they introduced us to the team behind the project, they are physically based in Spain and have several important allies such as Polygon, the Universitat Politécnica de Valencia, Bit2Me, the Universidad Europea de Valencia, among many others. Which I find very impressive. Their token is $WORLD.

Seguidamente, escuchamos la maravillosa charla de Ciberseguridad, dictada por el Hacker ético, Franco Parisi, en donde aprendimos muchas cosas, por ejemplo, como defendernos del Phising o suplantación de sitios web legítimos, el cuál cada vez es mucho más frecuente, ya que existed un framework para hacer eso, lo que lo have más sencillo para los hackers.

Then, we listened to the wonderful talk on Cybersecurity, given by the ethical Hacker, Franco Parisi, where we learned many things, for example, how to defend ourselves from Phising or impersonation of legitimate websites, which is becoming more and more frequent, since there was a framework to do that, which makes it easier for hackers.

Nos explicó que ya no es suficiente que un sitio web tenga un "candadito" de conexión segura con un certificado SSL, ya que en la actualidad es relativamente sencillo obtener un certificado SSL gratuito, gracias a la autoridad de Cerificiación "Let's Encrypt".

He explained that it is no longer enough for a website to have a secure connection "padlock" with an SSL certificate, as it is now relatively easy to obtain a free SSL certificate, thanks to the Certifying Authority "Let's Encrypt".

Así que, un ciberdelincuente puede montar un servidor web, agregarle un certificado gratuito y actuar como "Man in the Middle", es decir, un agente externo e intermediario, que escucha tus peticiones HTTP, por ejemplo, cuando te conectas a tu correo electrónico, bancos e incluso exchanges, y están atentos a cualquier información que pueda servirles. Mientras que nosotros como usuarios no nos damos cuenta, ya que la petición llega al sitio destino sin ningún problema, pero alguien la recibió (o interceptó) primero.

So, a cybercriminal can set up a web server, add a free certificate to it and act as a "Man in the Middle", i.e. an external agent and intermediary, who listens to your HTTP requests, for example, when you connect to your email, banks and even exchanges, and they are on the lookout for any information that can be of use to them. While we as users do not notice it, since the request reaches the destination site without any problem, but someone received (or intercepted) it first.

Dicho esto, para evitar este tipo de amenazas, si nos encontramos en una red pública (por ejemplo, WiFi gratuitos, aeropuertos, plazas, cafeterías), pero aún necesitamos conectarnos, además de verificar que sea una conexión segura, hacer clic en en candado de seguridad y ver los detalles de ese certificado. Pues, si te encuentras que dice certificado emitido por R3 de Let's Encrypt, de un sitio conocido o una gran compañía, quiere decir que usted ha sido interceptado por un tercero (Man in the middle).

That said, to avoid this type of threat, if you are on a public network (for example, free WiFi, airports, squares, cafes), but still need to connect, in addition to verifying that it is a secure connection, click on the security lock and see the details of that certificate. Well, if you find that it says certificate issued by Let's Encrypt R3, from a known site or a large company, it means that you have been intercepted by a third party (Man in the middle).

No quiere decir que todos los certificados emitidos por Let's Encrypt, sino que pueden ser adquiridos por cualquier persona. Generalmente son utilizados por empresas de menores recursos, emprendedores, desarrolladores, pero una empresa conocida, llámese Paypal, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Binance, Bancos (los cuales deberían estar utilizando un certificado de pago).

It does not mean that all certificates issued by Let's Encrypt, but they can be purchased by anyone. They are generally used by companies with fewer resources, entrepreneurs, and developers, but well-known companies, such as Paypal, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Binance, and Banks not (they probably should be using a paid certificate).

Aquí es donde surge el otro modus operandi de los atacantes, los cuales toman un sitio legítimo, crean un dominio con un nompre parecido, pero agregando o quitando letras o cambiando por números o letras similares, escribes tu contraseña real, y el sitio falso te indica que la clave es incorrecta y te redirige al sitio original, así que la escribes en el sitio original y entras correctamente (pero ya el atacante tiene tu clave).

This is where the other modus operandi of the attackers arises, they take a legitimate site, and create a domain with a similar name, but adding or removing letters or changing it to numbers or similar letters, you type your real password, and the fake site tells you that the password is incorrect and **redirects you to the original site, so you type it in the original site and enter correctly (but the attacker already has your password).

Aunado a esto, tampoco es suficiente que el dominio sea el correcto, pues, con lo que viene después en la URL, ya sea un token, o alguna otra información encriptada, con eso ya pueden llevarte a un sitio diferente, así que hay que tener mucho cuidado y no abrir ningún link sospechoso. Por esta razón es importante aprender cada día sobre ciberseguridad, ya que casi todo ahora es digital.

In addition to this, it is not enough that the domain is the correct one, because, with what comes after in the URL, either a token, or some other encrypted information, they can take you to a different site, so you have to be very careful and not open any suspicious link. For this reason it is important to learn every day about cybersecurity, since almost everything is now digital.

Adicionalmente, nos alertó al momento de descargar archivos comprimidos, por ejemplo, un archivo ".zip" y estar pendientes de las urls, ya qué existe el dominio ".zip". Nosotros, como usuario, observamos que descargamos un archivo, pero en realidad nos está redirigiendo a un dominio ".zip" y allí o pueden robar información o infectarnos con un archivo malicioso.

Additionally, it alerted us when downloading compressed files, for example, a ".zip" file and to be aware of the urls, since there is a ".zip" domain. We, as users, notice that we download a file, but in reality we are being redirected to a ".zip" domain and there we can either steal information or be infected with a malicious file.

Así que, como dicen, no confíes, verifica.

So don't trust, verify.

Seguidamente escuchamos la conferencia virtual de Ignacio Albinati, el cual nos ofreció consejos para iniciar nuestros emprendimientos, señalando la importancia de co-crear con tu usuario, es decir, escuchar el feedback de tus primeros usuarios y garantizar que tu producto o servicio satisfaga sus necesidades.

We then listened to Ignacio Albinati's virtual conference, which offered us tips for starting our ventures, pointing out the importance of co-creating with your user, that is, listening to the feedback of your first users and ensuring that your product or service meets their needs.

Por último, escuchamos la ponencia de Abraham Rivv (@abrahamrivv), el cuál nos señaló las ventajas de el sitio Meta Pool, una plataforma de Staking líquido y finanzas descentralizadas, en donde pueden hacer stake de monedas como Ethereum, AURORA o NEAR y ganar dividendos.

Una desventaja del staking es quedan bloqueados por largos periodos de tiempo. Sin embargo, una ventaja del "Staking Líquido" es que podrías retirar tus criptos en el momento que sea, no estarían bloqueadas por largos periodos.

Finally, we listened to Abraham Rivv's presentation, who pointed out the advantages of the Meta Pool site, a platform for liquid staking and decentralized finance, where you can stake coins such as Ethereum, AURORA or NEAR and earn profits.

A disadvantage of staking is that they are locked in for long periods of time. However, an advantage of "Liquid Staking" is that you could withdraw your cryptos at any time, they would not be locked for long periods of time.

El Zavoo Club NFT es un lugar fantástico, con una luces led en el techo y varias pantallas en donde podemos ver hermosa obras de arte en 3D, futuristas y algunas con inteligencia artificial. Parecen obras vivientes y son hipnótizantes. Me inspiró a crear mis propias obras NFT.

The Zavoo Club NFT is a fantastic place, with LED lights on the ceiling and several screens where we can see beautiful works of art in 3D, futuristic and some with artificial intelligence. They look like living works and are hypnotizing. It inspired me to create my own NFT works.
