Thinking about positivity while sipping a cup of coffee.

Every day as I always wake up in the morning and go outside the balcony for a coffee I always see this scenery. It's been 42 days now since we are hit by a strong typhoon but it always seems it's just yesterday.

I feel so broke that in just a blink of the eye everything just whipped away that day. I was just asking for a small and simple house for my family that we can thoroughly say our own but we just relish it for a year and vanish after the typhoon. If only we know it could happen maybe we could just save more money so we can build a stronger home even it will take longer.

But it is what it is now we have to accept the fact that the damage has been done and all we have to do is move forward. What matters now is that all of us are safe and that's the most important thing.

Today most of us are still suffering from the aftermath of the typhoon, most houses are left shattered and find it hard to rebuild and repair especially now it's been raining here a lot.

Speaking of rain, today as an everyday routine we sat down by my in-laws' balcony with my husband and kids (where we temporarily stayed). We had this coffee and milk for the kids and the leftover steamed cake that I reheated to warm up the day. While looking at our house while sipping a cup of coffee we had this discussion about the first step we will have after we accumulate money in rebuilding our house again. I was amazed how sometimes sipping a cup of coffee motivates me to be optimistic.

Although now we are struggling to rebuild our home due to financial problems. Every day when I sit here and have a drink of coffee I may think about sadness but positivity dominates that in the right time we can stand and slowly we can rebuild our home again.

Anyway we are drinking an instant coffee there. It has always been the easiest coffee we can afford as of this moment.

So cheers for more coffee sessions here ☕.

THANK YOU FOR READING I APPRECIATE IT SO MUCH.

Hello @luckylaica, It's good that you accept what has happened, and slowly you'll be able to rebuild a better structure one day.
It helps to be thankful for what you still have which is evident in your appreciation for your simple coffee and bread.
All good wishes!

With our heads held high we rise and rebuild from the ashes, that makes us human, to be positive in spite of the bad moments because the good ones will come, very soon you will have your home again and better.
