Finding Nature In The Mix.

As we all know, green spaces like garden parks contribute to a city's livability and charm. They bring life and add a pop of color to a city. Unfortunately, Aba, my city, is really missing out. Heck, there are no garden parks, and as a nature lover, it's been kinda challenge finding a place to unwind and connect with the great outdoors.

Although my neighborhood offers some natural charm, which is cool though, it's not enough. Let's be real, nothing beats a dedicated space - a garden park, where people can come together and chill.

However, with CS Park, Market Road, one can still have a feel of nature.

Although it's not a garden park - technically, but it's helping to fill void - the sort of, which was created by lack of garden parks here in my city. Adorned with ornamental trees, fruit trees, flowers, and various outlets for food and drinks, including a DJ stand, it's a great spot to chill out and reconnect with nature.

Snooker spot

I recently visited, and it was a beautiful experience. I soaked myself up in the scenic environment and enjoyed the sounds of nature.

Not only that, I indulged in some delicious fruits - African almond Terminalia catappa). While growing up, this was my favourite, and it was nice to have a taste of it after so many years. In fact, we had the tree in our compound then, and I always had a full day with it.

After eating the flesh, I'd crack them to eat the seeds just like I'll do to these. Lol. Oh! memories. 😄

Now here's one fruit that caught my eye. The tree is an ornamental plant, I guess, because the fruits are not edible. Only if they were! Lol.

The tree.

The fruit is very strong, and the seed looks like a coconut after the flesh is removed.

So I tried looking up the name, but didn't make any headway. Search showed names like: Shea fruit, green African star apple (udara), sapote and others. None of them matched the features of the fruit.

I'm just curious about the fruit and hope I'll find the name. Does anyone know what it's called?

CS Park ain't seeing enough of me. It's now my preferred spot to escape from the fast paced, chaotic environment, going forward,

Thank you for reading.
