Human rights are moral principles or norms for certain standards of human behaviour and are regularly protected in municipal and international law.< Human right is so valuable that society respect it alot and whenever it's violated it causes a big problem.

Human rights abuse is the violation of the normal standard human rights, this have dated back from the 19's down to this present time, many people have been a victim of this human rights abuse which I have witnessed and also was a victim. In my hometown onitsha they have been many cases of human rights abuse which I will be discussing on some of them

The first case of human rights abuse I witnessed was when I was about nine years of age around ekene junction very close to my house, I and my brothers were coming back from school we heard people shouting " catch him! Catch!", It was a robbery incident in which the motorist caught a person stealing someone's phone, instead of them to hand him over to the police they burned him alive to death, in this part of the work they call it jungle justice, this is the most horrific human rights abuse I have ever witnessed, and the painful part is that security agencys were present at the time and did nothing about it.

The second case of human rights abuse I've witnessed was a case of sex trafficking, one of my female friends I knew then back in the day was a victim of this human rights abuse. She was promised heaven and Earth by one old man like that. Unknownly it was a set up, as soon as she reached the airport they seized her passport and took her to an unknown destination where she was exploited sexually, she got out of that mess by one lucky good Samaritan who came to her aid. This have been a normal thing here this country, people are made promises to and later it will be a scam. The people that are meant to protect us are not doing anything about it .

The third case of human rights abuse i withnessed was police harresment, this happened to me personally. I was coming back to my home town onitsha from our normal university break and we're stopped by a group of police officers, they asked questions which we answered politely, to our greatest surprise they started to beat us up shouting at us, asking bus why the do we look that this, I was like is it now a crime to look nice? They hurt us so badly nobody intervened.

The fourth case of human rights abuse I witnessed was during the lockdown, there was this big protest on the streets of my town against the bad government and it's illegal activities of one of the police unit called Sars , that's where cooked up the name end sars. The protest was going well until security agencys came up to the protesters and started abusing them physically using armed forces against civilians. Don't we have freedom of speech again? That was what I kept asking myself, I can remember some people lost their lives in the process. This is really bad and nobody did anything about it.

In conclusion I want to state that violation or abuse of human rights is very bad problem in the society today which needs to be addressed by the international agencys and the government too should make laws and policies aganist human rights abuse.
