Try and identify potential customers and their preferences and what species of catfish they want to buy for there farm, also try to know your competitors in your locality as well as the prices they sell or the incentives they offer.

When selecting a site for your fish production, choose a suitable location for your catfish farm. The site should have access to good quality water, electricity if not available you can get a generator set for pumping water, you also need to consider transportation transportation cost to and from the farm premises.

Meet reputable and proficient construction company or individuals to construct and manage the catfish ponds using appropriate technologies and methods. Consider factors such as pond size, water quality, stocking density, and feeding strategies. At this point, you can determine if you want to go for local ponds in mould, make use of polythene bags, or construct a concrete pond
