Thailand Travel diary 2021 / First time Thai-Air / Boeing 777-300ER and finaly arrived in Phuket <3

No special incidents and then I was finally allowed to my seat in the Boeing 777-300ER. It is a big and comfortable airplane. Arrived at the place first stowed my things and hoped that I am the only passenger in the 3 row. Unfortunately, a guest has then placed at the other end of the 3 row... Beim Boarding wurde jeder Passagier mit einem Temperatur Messgerät auf der Stirn auf zu hohe Temperatur geprüft. Keine besonderen Vorkommnisse und dann durfte ich auch endlich zu meinem Platz in der Boeing 777-300ER. Ist schon ein großes und komfortables Flugzeug. Am Platz angekommen erstmal meine Sachen verstaut und gehofft, das ich in der 3er Reihe der einzige Fluggast bin. Leider hat sich dann noch ein Gast am anderen Ende der 3er Reihe platziert... Then it started right away with the safety briefing on the monitor, pushback and then the ride started. Of course I recorded the takeoff and landing with my phone. Find that really fascinating to have a look at the wing :) The video was made about 3 minutes after we took off and flew through the first larger cloud layer. Of course, the first thing I ordered was a delicious Singha beer to take the first tension from the flight. After the first few sips of beer I was already quite relaxed. Dann gings auch schon direkt los mit der Sicherheitseinweisung auf dem Monitor, Pushback und dann ging die Fahrt los. Natürlich hab ich den Start und auch die Landung mit meinem Handy aufgenommen. Finde das echt faszinierend, einen Blick auf die Tragfläche zu haben :) Das Video entstand ca. 3 Minuten nach dem wir abgehoben sind und durch die erste größere Wolkenschicht geflogen sind. Natürlich hab ich mir direkt als erstes ein leckeres Singha Bier bestellt, um die erste Anspannung vom Flug zu nehmen. Nach den ersten paar Schlücken Bier war ich auch schon recht entspannter. Shortly thereafter, there was already dinner. Somehow I was forgotten but somehow during the meal and had to explicitly ask where my chicken remains :-P Again a Chang beer. The food was already quite OK for a meal on the plane. Since I flew with Emirates in 2019, I have here also the direct comparison and must say, at Emirates the food was then a little bit better. The fruit and the small cake tasted but very good. Kürze Zeit später gab es dann auch schon Abendessen. Irgendwie wurde ich aber beim Essen irgendwie vergessen und musste explizit nachfragen, wo denn mein Chicken bleibt :-P Dazu erneut ein Chang Bier. Das Essen war für ein Essen im Flugzeug schon ganz OK. Da ich damals mit Emirates geflogen bin, hab ich hier auch den direkten Vergleich und muss sagen, bei Emirates war das Essen damals ein kleines bisschen besser. Das Obst und der kleine Kuchen haben aber sehr gut geschmeckt. After all the food and beer I got quite sleepy and tried to close my eyes a little bit. So I tried to find a suitable position, which was a little bit comfortable and let me sleep a little bit. Besides, a film ran on the monitor there neatly contributed to the fact that I fell asleep. I think I, so about 1 hour dozed off and then I was torn by loud roar right next to me from sleep. In the first moment I did not even realize what was going on... Then it turned out that my seat neighbor has made his seat to the back and that disturbed the lady behind, the two began to argue really loudly and almost fists flew. The flight attendants have been but very quickly there and have tried to calm the situation. The man next to me but did not want to give peace and has taken to the end of the dispute then also the middle finger and pushed the woman several times in the face ... That was not particularly great... At the end, the flight staff put the lady on another seat and then was finally quiet again. Then I could sleep on again... Nach dem ganzen Essen und dem Bier bin ich nun doch recht schläfrig geworden und hab versucht ein kleines bisschen die Augen zu zu machen. Also hab ich versucht mir eine geeignete Position zu finden, die etwas bequem war und mich etwas schlafen ließ. Nebenbei lief ein Film auf dem Monitor da ordentlich dazu beigetragen hat, das ich eingeschlafen bin. Ich hab glaube ich, so ca. 1 Stunde vor mich hingedöst und dann wurde ich durch lautes Gebrüll direkt neben mir aus dem Schlaf gerissen. Im ersten Moment hab ich gar nicht realisiert, was da los war... Dann stellte sich heraus, das mein Sitznachbar seinen Sitz nach hinten gemacht hat und das die Dame dahinter störte, die beiden fingen echt lautstark an zu streiten und beinahe sind auch die Fäuste geflogen. Die Flugbegleiter sind aber sehr schnell da gewesen und haben versucht die Situation zu beruhigen. Der Mann neben mir wollte aber keine Ruhe geben und hat zum Ende des Streits dann auch den Mittelfinger genommen und der Frau mehrfach ins Gesicht geschoben... Das war nicht besonders Toll... Am Ende hat das Flugpersonal die Dame auf einen anderen Platz gesetzt und dann war endlich wieder Ruhe. Dann konnte ich wieder weiterschlafen... I noticed when boarding and flying that the seat neighbor of mine was dissatisfied with everything and everyone. Shook at every little bit, what the flight attendants made the head and was quite annoyed... Somehow I had the feeling that this is a person who is fundamentally dissatisfied with himself and all the situation. Well... in the end everything was fine again and I landed on the island of Phuket after about 11 hours of flight time. This is the Tripple 7 with which we flew: Mir ist beim Einsteigen und losfliegen schon aufgefallen, das der Sitznachbar von mir mit allem und jedem unzufrieden war. Schüttelte bei jedem kleinen bisschen, was die Flugbegleiter machten den Kopf und war recht verärgert... Irgendwie hatte ich das Gefühl, das ist ein Mensch, der grundlegend unzufrieden mit sich und sämtlichen Situation ist. Naja... am Ende war alles wieder gut und ich bin nach ca. 11 Stunden Flugzeit auf der Insel Phuket gelandet. Das hier ist die Tripple 7, mit der wir geflogen sind: Arrived at the airport and got out, had to walk a strict path to then get to a waiting area where I think there were about 60 chairs widely spaced. Passengers sat down from front to back. Then the airport staff came and checked all the documents for entry. One by one you were allowed to go to the counter and have everything checked again. If one received here the OK, it went then to the Imigration around itself its 30 days visa on Arrival to fetch. Then it went again led in the direction of the exit of the airport. In front of the exit you had to show your booked PCR test and received the test kit. Further it went then before the airport building, where very many small boxes are built up and coworkers made the smear in the nose. If you have this behind you, you were led directly to your vehicle (Which also had to be booked) and then you were driven to the hotel, where you had to stay in the room until you have received the negative result. Am Flughafen angekommen und ausgestiegen, musste man einen strikten Weg laufen um dann in einen Wartebereich zu gelangen, in dem ich glaube ca. 60 Stühle in großem Abstand standen. Die Passagier haben sich von vorne nach hinten hingesetzt. Dann kamen die Flughafenmitarbeiter und haben sämtliche Dokumente zur Einreise kontrolliert. Nach und Nach durfte man dann zum Schalter und alles erneut prüfen lassen. Hat man hier das OK erhalten, ging es dann zur Imigration um sich sein 30 Tage Visa on Arrival abzuholen. Dann ging es wieder geführt in Richtung Ausgang des Flughafens. Vor dem Ausgang musste man nun seinen gebuchten PCR Test vorzeigen und erhielt das Test-Kit. Weiter ging es dann vor das Flughafengebäude, wo sehr viele kleine Kästen aufgebaut sind und Mitarbeiter den Abstrich in der Nase gemacht haben. Hat man das nun hinter sich, wurde man direkt zu seinem Fahrzeug geführt (Was auch gebucht sein musste) und dann wurde man in das Hotel gefahren, wo man solange auf dem Zimmer bleiben musste, bis man das negative Ergebnis erhalten hat. After the long flight I had to ask the cab driver who brought me to the hotel to please stop somewhere on the side, because I wanted to have a smoke. Actually, this is not allowed, but he was happy to make an exception. Then it went about 35 minutes further to the hotel. Finally arrived...at the Westin Resort & Spa in Siray Bay. Nach dem langen Flug musste ich dem Taxi Fahrer, der mich ins Hotel gebracht hat darum bitten, bitte irgendwo an der Seite anzuhalten, da ich gerne eine Rauchen wollte. Eigentlich ist das nicht erlaubt, aber er hat da gerne eine Ausnahme gemacht. Dann ging es ca. 35 Minuten weiter zum Hotel. Man travel really sucks now this covid nonsense as to stop, also when it comes to those reclining seats I don't know why they don't just stop them from reclining as this seems to cause problems very often.

What a flight! Glad you kept your cool even when your sleep was disturbed by two mammals fighting lol! The guy shouldn't have done that though, an apology would have solved the situation but oh well, people don't think alike or even behave the same hehe. Enjoy your Thailand adventure!
