That doesn't sound fun. My wife is getting a new crown installed as the last one (or perhaps a filling) broke her tooth and it needs to be repaired. While prepping, they had to fill a cavity as well. She wasn't a happy camper for a bit after that.

I don't know what it is about the dentist but so many people avoid them...Maybe the cost, maybe the paid...Could be both. When I found my current dentist a few years ago I was amazed at how easy she made it. Sure, still hurts sometimes, but she makes it easier than its ever been before to go. I assume it's similarly costly to see a dentist up your way?
Aye, it is definitely not a cheap thing to do.
