Breaking the Monday Rush - My Sunday Work Strategy

avatar

I started my work on Sundays unlike many people. Why? Because starting Friday afternoon until Saturday, I take a break. Though I can't really say I'm resting because sometimes I clean the house, do laundry, or organize things, but from Friday afternoon until Saturday, I don't do my work. By work, I mean the tasks I'm paid to do.

Another reason why I started working on Sundays is to be one day ahead of Monday. I don't want to rush, I just want to relax and not worry about anything come Monday. I don't like Mondays (although I don't see it as the first day of the week like many people do) because I end up rushing to do things, and I just really don't like rushing anything, because when you rush, you tend to make a lot of mistakes.

You might be wondering why and how I do this. It's because I work from home, so I have control over my work. I can advance it if I want to free up my following days.

I didn't use to do this, but when I realized I could be more productive this way, I implemented it into my schedule.

It's nice having plenty of time to do things you want for yourself.

The reason I resigned from work 15 years ago was that I didn't want to spend my whole day in the office working for other people.

I tried my best to find a way to work from home. I know it doesn't work for everyone. It didn't work for me at first either, but I really worked on expanding my skillset so I could do it.

I still have many tasks to finish for today, but mostly for myself.

So tomorrow, Monday, I'll wake up happy knowing I'm not rushing, just relaxed.

When I reach the point of feeling weak and losing motivation... I always remember that I'm just poor. Hahaha.🤣
