How Tomatoes are being planted in a traditional method
Hello @hivegarden
Just wanted to share to you today how beautiful people's livelihood in the farm. From planting until harvesting of vegetables.

Observing the kind of livelihood here in the place of Cebu City, I can say that it takes a lot of effort before one could really make harvest on their plants
Here I can see a lot of tomatoes growing already.. I'm amazed how they take good care of this.
I used to ask my brother in law how's they managed to do this kind of tomato plantation method.

He said that they're more into traditional tomato planting. And I am happy to see how this tomato planting being done in this season.

As I can see they're more on using bamboo sticks in supporting the seedling. It's very durable. That when there's a bad weather it can surely withstand to any conditions.
Tomatoes are best in this place. Because in Sudlon,Cebu City the variety of soil they have is different. The soil type is a loam soil appropriate for tomato planting.

This season which is dry season, is a perfect season for this kind of tomato. These varieties of tomatoes can tolerate the hotness of the sun.
But still they're giving enough moisture too by watering it.

Here in Sudlon,Busay,Cebu the weather is changing it's much cooler when it's night and hotter in the afternoon ..People here checked regularly their tomato plants because when too much wet too can cause the fungus or bacterias to thrive into some of the tomato varieties.
From time to time too, they'll check the ties, placed on each row. Once the tomato stems grows into its fuller size they'll need to adjust its garden twine. If not being adjusted it causes the stems to get damaged and eventually will not bear it's fruit.
This is their source of livelihood here and they must check from time to time and adjust regularly the ties to produce a good quality of tomatoes..

It takes a lot of risks and challenges too to yield a healthy and beautiful varieties of tomatoes...So that's why I salute to all gardeners here in the town of Cebu. I can see how dedicated they are in taking good care of the plants just to share it to the community and to the market.
This would be all for now and see you in my next gardenjournal...Bye👋👋

Saludo.
@multiingeniero wow thanks for commenting by...yeah I can really see how effortless are the people doing this kind of method of planting tomatoes...
That's really the true purpose of placing this plastics on each tomato stem...
Oh that's quite a long time working in agriculture... thank you for appreciating and taking the time to read my post..
Saludos.
@multiingeniero wow got interested with your post already...okay I'll take time to read your blogs ..I find it curious too how agriculture works...
