Hello my dear friends of insect lovers, today I want to share some pictures of a little animal that came home a few nights ago and where it caught my attention because of how big it was, when I saw it the first thing I did was to photograph it and learn a little more about it.
The first impression that anyone has of them is that, without thinking about it, is to take it out of the house because in many cases where it gets to enter it usually bites the clothes and thus pierce it, if it has happened to you you can share it in the comments, this is because they have a voracious appetite for the leaves and being at home they bite whatever they find. This beautiful insect of a very lively color, is known as Green Leafhopper (Stilpnochlora couloniana).
Generally this kind of animals can be observed at home at night because they protect themselves from certain predators and with their bright green color during the day it is very difficult to detect them with the naked eye because they are confused with the leaves of the trees.
When this grasshopper arrived home, my wife's first impression was to be frightened by its size, since we had never seen one of that size, believing that it would jump when I tried to photograph it, but it did not, on the contrary, it allowed me to take a few close-up photos, to the point that I could detail its eyes and see that they were brown, confirming that I was identifying it with its correct name, something I had not been able to do with other insects.
Because of the size of this grasshopper, I came to the conclusion that it could be a female, since in general females are always bigger than males. And as you can see in the photos you can detail her whole face, it is worth mentioning that I did not use the zoom to photograph it, since it allowed me to do so, and so you will realize how big it was. On this occasion I would like to finish by telling you that if at some point an insect of this kind arrives at your home, try not to harm it, since it arrives there due to the fact that every day its habitat is reduced by so much indiscriminate logging and burning, the best thing we could do is to hold them with a cloth and release them out of it.

Hola...
Saludos...
