La vida es un hermoso regalo que debemos valorar a cada momento, pero para algunos no lo es tan fácil, debido a terceros que se encargan de hacerla una carga muy pesada. Este es el caso de Tommy, un chico que creció en una familia que para él lo era todo y a pesar de que los ama con todo su corazón, las decisiones que tuvo que tomar no fueron nada fácil porque no era su intensión lastimar a nadie, pero el no hacerlo sería su mayor error.

Life is a beautiful gift that we should value every moment, but for some it is not so easy, due to third parties who are in charge of making it a very heavy burden. This is the case of Tommy, a boy who grew up in a family that was everything to him and although he loves them with all his heart, the decisions he had to make were not easy because it was not his intention to hurt anyone, but not doing so would be his biggest mistake.

Tommy era un niño feliz, rodeado de sus seres queridos y dónde sus padres se esforzaban por darle lo mejor, de hecho su padre siempre lo sorprendía con un hermoso detalle. Tommy un día recibió de regalo un hermoso camión con una pala excavadora, el cual su madre no se vio muy contenta por el mismo, pero a Tommy salto de alegría, y desde ese momento fue su juguete favorito y el cual sería su inspiración para su plan de vida jugando con él en cada momento que podía.

Tommy was a happy child, surrounded by his loved ones and where his parents made an effort to give him the best, in fact his father always surprised him with a beautiful detail. One day Tommy received as a gift a beautiful truck with an excavator shovel, which his mother was not very happy about it, but Tommy jumped with joy, and from that moment on it was his favorite toy and which would be his inspiration for his life plan, playing with it every moment he could.

Su padre al ver el apego por este juguete un día se puso a jugar con Tommy y de esta manera le pregunto por qué le gustaba tanto este camión, su hijo con una gran sonrisa le expreso que cuando sea grande quería ser un constructor. Su padre lo mira y dándole una sonrisa de vuelta, lo agarra y lo abraza fuertemente diciéndole: seguro serás uno muy bueno hijo mío. Su madre los miraba desde lejos, pero para ella solo era algo pasajero, ya que Tommy solo era un niño, y razonaba que al crecer lo olvidaría.

His father seeing the attachment for this toy one day he started to play with Tommy and asked him why he liked this truck so much, his son with a big smile expressed that when he grows up he wants to be a builder. His father looks at him and giving him a smile in return, he grabs him and hugs him tightly saying: you will surely be a very good one my son. His mother looked at them from afar, but for her it was only a passing thing, since Tommy was only a child, and she reasoned that when he grew up he would forget it.

Al pasar unas semanas el padre de Tommy lo sorprendió con un hermoso regalo, era un tractor con un pequeño remolque para que transportara materiales, Tommy estaba feliz, pues podía montarse en él y recorrer por todos lados llevando materiales de un lugar a otro. Tommy contento se lo enseña a su madre con una sonrisa en su rostro, su madre también le sonríe y le dice que está muy lindo
pero en el fondo no le gustaba del todo.

After a few weeks Tommy's father surprised him with a beautiful gift, it was a tractor with a small trailer to transport materials, Tommy was happy, because he could ride on it and go everywhere carrying materials from one place to another. Tommy happily showed it to his mother with a smile on his face, his mother also smiled and told him that it was very nice, but deep down he didn't like it.

El tiempo seguí corriendo y Tommy seguía creciendo, venía una nueva etapa en su vida como ir la escuela secundaria. Sus padres estaban pensando donde era el sitio correcto para su hijo, de esta manera la madre tomo la palabra inclinándose a sugerir una escuela militar, porque así llegaría a ser un gran militar y a la larga porque no, estudiar medicina al culminar la secundaria. El padre de Tommy no estaba del todo de acuerdo, pero a la final esa fue la decisión tomada.

Time kept running and Tommy kept growing, a new stage in his life was coming, like going to high school. His parents were thinking where was the right place for their son, so the mother took the floor and suggested a military school, because that way he would become a great military man and in the long run, why not, study medicine when he finished high school. Tommy's father didn't quite agree, but in the end that was the decision made.

Para Tommy esto fue una gran sorpresa, ya que no le ha agradado esta decisión cuando sus padres se lo dijeron, de hecho se puso muy triste y hasta lloró, se dejó ver una aptitud que nunca había reflejado ante aquello que oyó, por el hecho de que Tommy todavía tenía en su corazón y mente el llegar a ser un constructor. Su madre con un tono de voz un poco fuerte le dijo a Tommy que era una decisión tomada y que era lo mejor para él.

For Tommy this was a great surprise, since he was not pleased with this decision when his parents told him, in fact he became very sad and even cried, he showed an aptitude that he had never reflected in front of what he heard, because Tommy still had in his heart and mind to become a builder. Todo esto fue muy duro para el pequeño Tommy, debido a que estaría internado en ese lugar, el cual no quería estar. Los días pasaron y ya estaba en aquel punto con su uniforme militar, cumpliendo toda una series de normas que él no quería seguir, pero Tommy era un buen chico y no quería desagradar a sus padres. Ya habían pasado cuatro años, Tommy ya era todo un adolescente, un día paso algo que sorprendió a muchos, debido a que los reunieron en el patio y comenzaron a llamar a un grupo de estudiantes, y en ese grupo mencionaron a Tommy, enterándose después que había sido escogidos para una beca para estudiar medicina, pero Tommy al enterarse expreso su negación ya que eso no era lo que él quería estudiar. Lo que no sabía era que su madre había movido ciertas influencias para que su hijo estuviera en aquel grupo.

All this was very hard for little Tommy, because he would be interned in that place, which he did not want to be. The days passed and he was already at that point with his military uniform, complying with a whole series of rules that he did not want to follow, but Tommy was a good boy and did not want to displease his parents. Four years had already passed, Tommy was already a teenager, one day something happened that surprised many, because they gathered in the courtyard and began to call a group of students, and in that group they mentioned Tommy, learning later that he had been chosen for a scholarship to study medicine, but Tommy when he found out expressed his denial because that was not what he wanted to study. What he didn't know was that his mother had pulled some strings so that her son would be in that group.

Tommy cambio desde aquel momento, demostrando que no estaba de acuerdo por estar en aquel lugar, muchos se sorprendieron al verlo actuar así, dónde inmediatamente llamaron a sus padres para que se hicieran presente en aquel lugar. Sus padres al enterarse se hicieron muchas preguntas: ¿Será su rebeldía por sus años de adolescencia? ¿Qué quería para su vida Tommy?.
