If you want to leave a legacy, teach the children. Children's garden only

Teaching children the importance of sowing is vital to continue with the legacy of sowing in order to produce quality food that is self-sustainable over time, as well as instructing them to use agro-ecological and recycling techniques is a way of doing our bit so that they can assimilate the importance of recycling and the use of resources that others throw away and reuse them so that they pollute less.

With this objective in mind, this week, which is about to end, we started a small project with the children so that they could learn how to plant and recycle. We started with the collection of bottles that had been discarded in the environment and the second step was to make a homemade drip irrigation system and also with green soda pots filled with soil or sand and placed them to delimit each bed for each item that is going to be planted.

Another of the things I had in mind in this process was that they would do the work with the respective advice, but they are responsible for carrying out from weeding, collecting the waste, removing the soil, adding a little fertiliser, marking out the beds, placing the irrigation and the banners that indicate the name of the crop, planting and watering. It is a joy to know that in each step they did it with great dedication and I can say that this is the children's garden where the hand of the adult has not intervened except to advise them, maybe they don't see it beautiful but for me it is the most beautiful garden there is because they did it by themselves.

We are just starting, we will gradually learn new techniques to use so that this garden is productive and the children see that all work has its reward, I can already imagine the day of the harvest, I dream of that day, to see their faces of satisfaction and happiness when harvesting organic food, we hope to make a great meal with what they harvest, so they will feel that all the effort was worth it.

It has been four days where they have made an effort, I think one of the things that cost them the most was to square the land and that each bed had the same size and above all that the line was straight, they sweated a little but it was very good, I for my part, I was in charge of collecting all the waste that was in the area, it bothered me a little that some people pollute the land, It was impressive how much rubbish there was, well, one more lesson for the children, they understood that throwing things on the ground is not correct and that we should take care of our environment and above all that each one of us can do something beautiful in the disaster that some human beings make, who do not realise the damage that can be done to the environment.

After sowing, each of the home drip irrigation systems were filled, however, we needed a good watering as we were worried that we were going to leave the plants planted for only three days and as a blessing from heaven it started to rain and it has been raining for two days now, so I no longer worry because I know that the plants are well watered with the best water, which is rain.

Next week we will continue planting each of the items that we have proposed and improve the children's garden, I for my part will be involved in the sprouts and sprouts for them to learn this beautiful technique, in addition to the development of organic pesticides and fertilizers, I will also be in charge of making the seedbeds so that they can see the step by step and then they can replicate it, we have a long way to go but it is a nice way because seeing the smile of a child, their effort and their innocence involved in this project, everything is easier and it is a pleasure to walk this path.

For their part, the children are happy to be given this responsibility and they think they are grown up hahaha, they don't allow me to help them too much because they say that this is their garden and they do it well.

Well friends, I hope you liked the tour through the children's garden, see you next time.

Once they are invited to learn and get used to it, they will get used to preserving the plants around them.
Well, to make the learning process more exciting, adding lots of colorful materials can be fun :)

Oh, you are right, we should use colors to make it colorful and pleasing to the eyes of children, I think your idea is excellent, soon we will apply it in the garden, thanks.
