Estos días me he dado a la tarea de escuchar, con la medida que salgamos en la mañana ya que parece que el virus sale en la tarde algo así, trato de entablar conversaciones con los vecinos en un ganar ganar...Motivarnos. La semana pasada no escuchaba esos planes de las amistades, se escuchaban resignados. Mis vecinos adultos mayores recogían ropa para donarla a los geriátricos, ante tanta apatía tenia bastante trabajo, trato de siempre dejar mis reservas para animarme a mi misma.
Nada de planes a largo plazo, cada uno viviendo su día a día.

My older adults were collecting clothes to donate to the geriatrics, before so much apathy I had enough work, I try to always leave my reserves to encourage myself.
No long term plans, everyone living their own day to day.

Mi padre en la visita del domingo pasado a su hogar, me daba algunas de los frutos de sus cosechas ya que sabe que cocinamos para nuestros adultos mayores, le hacemos arepas, tostones, batidos y su sopa dominical. En el geriátrico no se ha reportado ningún caso de corona-virus.

My father, during last Sunday's visit to his home, gave me some of the fruits of his harvest because he knows that we cook for our elderly, we make arepas, tostones, milkshakes and his Sunday soup. No cases of corona-virus have been reported at the nursing home.

Es una gran bendición recibir cualquier donativo por más pequeño que parezca. Las voluntarias sabemos lo maravilloso que puede ser para algún ser humano algo, que para otros puede ser nada.

It is a great blessing to receive any donation, no matter how small. We volunteers know how wonderful something can be for some human beings, which for others can be nothing.

Ya sabemos lo que se está viviendo a nivel mundial, debemos seguir sirviendo, hacer algo por el otro es gratificante. Aquí encima de todo tenemos desabastecimiento de gasolina, trasladar lo que nos dan se nos hace cuesta arriba, siempre alguien se ofrece ya que saben el trabajo que realizamos. El señor Roberto nos dice "seguro estaré en el asilo donde sirven, así que ya comencé para que me dejen y me traten bien".

We know what is happening worldwide, we must continue to serve, doing something for the other is rewarding. Here on top of everything else we have a lack of gasoline, moving what we are given is uphill, someone always offers themselves because they know the work we do. Mr. Roberto tells us "I'll be sure to be in the asylum where they serve, so I've already started to be left and treated well_".

Los adultos mayores vuelven a comportarse cómo niños, es muy gracioso. Llevo mi celular y table para distraerlos un rato, quieren todo, igual que niños. Algunos malcriados, otros traviesos, unos se orinan, otros son inquietos, algunos usan pañales y otros se burlan.

Older people are acting like children again, it's very funny. I take my cell phone and tablet to distract them for a while, they want everything, just like children. Some are spoiled, some are naughty, some pee, some are restless, some are in diapers and some are teasing.

El equipo de voluntarias no ha parado, otras nos quedamos en casa preparando la comida, cada una desde donde puede. Las que viven más cerca del hospital van un rato.

The team of volunteers has not stopped, others stayed at home preparing food, each from where they could. Those who live closer to the hospital go for a while.

Lo bonito de este servicio, es que cada una sabe lo que tiene que hacer, todo lo que hagamos tienen un gran valor, por poco que parezca ayuda a mover nuestro barco.

The nice thing about this service is that everyone knows what they have to do, everything we do is of great value, however little it seems to help move our boat.

Esta foto la mandó mi prima para que viera cómo se está entreteniendo el tío, se dan cuenta vuelven a esa etapa de niños. Enseñé esta imagen a mis viejitos, ahora estoy metida en un problema todos quieren rompecabezas. Ya comencé a pedir rompecabezas, tenemos una empresa familiar donde sublimamos, nos quedan algunos rompecabezas en blanco les haremos sus rompecabezas, unos quieren con batman, otros tarzán cada uno a su estilo. Las niñas, así le digo a mis chiquillas viejitas le gusta más sus maquillajes.

This photo was sent by my cousin to see how the uncle is entertaining himself, they realize they are going back to that stage of childhood. I showed this picture to my old folks, now I'm in trouble everybody wants puzzles. I already started asking for puzzles, we have a family business where we sublimate, we have some blank puzzles we will make them their puzzles, some want with batman, others Tarzan each one in his own style. The girls, that's what I call my old girls like their make-up best_.

Queridos lectores se imaginan a esa edad...¿cómo serán?

Unos adultos bellos, coquetos, peleones, traviesos, llorones...Sigamos viviendo un día a la vez.

Pienso que al niño debemos guiarlo, corregirlos, mimarlos, amarlos pero al adulto mayor solo debemos amarlos que sus últimos días sean de gran felicidad...Aunque se porten mal.

I think that we should guide children, correct them, pamper them, love them, but we should only love the elderly so that their last days will be of great happiness... even if they misbehave.
