Weekend wanderer

It will always be comforting to spend time as a family; even more so when we all have a well-defined purpose for any gathering. In this case it was to support my husband's grandson.

He is a great kid. When he was little he lived with us for two years, for various reasons that are not relevant here. He has always had a fascination for sports, starting in baseball, then soccer until now; and he plays volleyball as a hobby. Something really worthy of admiration for me, who has never been interested in sports, but on this occasion I decided to support him in one of his games.

It really is the first one I attend because there are always different occupations at work and at home.
From the beginning, the atmosphere in the stadium was full of good vibes, excitement and optimism. While the team was warming up, the children's representatives were singing and cheering them on, making the adrenaline explode.

It is not just any soccer match, on his shoulders falls the responsibility of a state final in the gold series 2023, held at the Olympic Stadium Los Hermanos Ghersi Paez and I refer to him, specifically as he is the goalkeeper of his team; which is named after one of the most outstanding professional soccer players in Venezuela: Juan Arango.

I once read that the figure of the goalkeeper has always been a very difficult position because if the team loses, it is mostly because of the goalkeeper; but if the team wins, the goalkeeper is given little value.

The game was very close with many attempts at goals but neither team gave in so they had to define who would be the champion by going to penalties and that is when the star goalkeeper excelled as he stopped two goals thus obtaining the victory for his team.

Undoubtedly an excellent way to close the weekend by taking home that huge trophy.
