Crime by omission

The love-hate relationship towards weekends will never fail, much less if you are not on vacation. And the dissatisfaction comes because the damned weekend is too short for the whole list of things we want to do or enjoy. In most of the times "to stop doing".

Weekends are that injection of vitality with immediate action effects and even turn out to be the solution to the fact of having had a fatal work week.

But what is clear and what many of us agree on is that weekends have many implicit rules. These vary for each person and family group; for example, in my single life, when I lived with my mom and siblings, we would visit the family and especially on Sundays we would look for practical solutions to avoid cooking with a lot of effort. I have been implementing this practice strategically and stealthily in my married life.

Since it is inevitable to put work aside, at least on Saturdays, even for a couple of hours, I have to start planning my week. Sundays are the kings of "no cooking or washing here in this house".

My husband spoils me by making quite hearty breakfasts for both of us himself. I have mentioned it before; so we eat a lot we skip lunch; while dinner tends to make more of a snack or some fruits, so at home there is always something to snack on.

Apart from the fact that on Sundays we do NOT get up that early . 🤭

Keep your phone quiet and get a good night's rest with sleep mode 😪

I hope I am not the only one who commits this crime of omission.
