My Actifit Report Card: September 20 2022

avatar

I did some yard work today and continued to chop up the rock rose bushes that had died. There is two or three weeks worth of branches to get rid of. I'll get it done eventually, I'm not in a hurry about it all.

My elbow and back are feeling better but still a bit tender at times. I think that is normal for playing disc golf as much as I am. I've been throwing with less power as much as I can but still turning my lighter discs when the wind is blowing harder. It is always challenging to balance out how hard to throw and what discs to use.

I'll be getting more exercise tomorrow when I play a practice round with a couple of friends.

Some peppers that were for sale at the local market:

I hope your health will recover so you can practice together with your friends tomorrow,

This is the first time I've seen such a small chili that is already bearing fruit. It looks like cayenne pepper but the size is much bigger and the fruit is very much

Thank you. They seem to be somewhat regular problems but it has been helpful to take some time off every other day. I can tell when I've been playing a bit too much and the additional rest days are good.

I love all the styles of ornamental peppers. I didn't have any this year, but maybe next year.... if I remember.

The mornings have been very nice here. If I wasn't working I'd be out in the yard getting things cleaned up too.

Lucky for me the grass and weeds are not growing right now so there is not as much to do. I have a bunch of compost type materials in the yard so I've been busy each week getting that into the new for me trash service bin for yard waste. I figure it is about time to start moving some of the stuff out of the yard just in case of a fire or something.

I forgot all about buying the ornamental peppers! It is still 87 today and autumn is the last thing I am thinking about, even though it is around the corner! Those look like fine specimens!

No rush on the roses. Maybe it will even come back!

You are really playing a lot! Did you think you would be when you first started? Hello! Hello! I hope all is going well in your world!

It is still getting hot around here in the afternoon but in general it is cooler in the morning. I didn't realize these were ornamental. They look a lot like the hot peppers that go into the salsa but I'm not sure.

I think three of the bushes are not going to show any signs of life but you never know. Two of them still have some leaves and will probably do fine unless there is another big freeze this winter or something. I piled up all the dead branches that I took off of them in the backyard and have been cutting up all that stuff each week to throw out.

When I started playing I was not even sure if I would be physically able to do it right. If anything it seems to helping me get back into shape and stay active. I enjoy it so much now that it would be hard not to get out there on the course so I've been intentionally restricting myself so that I don't get and injury.

Hello back! Everything is going fine for me and I hope it is for you too.

Although normally grown for their brightly colored fruits, the fruits of ornamental peppers are edible. But beware, most are too hot to really enjoy their flavor. The leaves, however, are toxic to humans and pets.

I am glad the disc golf has worked for you. It looks like great exercise and a nice social too!
