Using "Inappropriate" Lenses, thoughts and visuals
Greetings, photography lovers!
Using a "inappropriate" lens or breaking the Rules of Photography (with a capital letter "R") sometimes gives lovely and entertaining results. Not to mention unexpected. Perhaps this is me only, but I like so much to experiment.
Creating landscapes with 400mm lens for example. Or taking portraits with 16mm lens. On a full frame camera body.
As you may guess already and you will see below, to frame a portrait with such a 16mm lens one has to come very close to the subject. Actually "very close" even doesn't begin to tell the story, hahaha. The photographer has to break all boundaries here and enter the private space of the subject (human or non-human) :)))
Another great aspect of that is with focal lengths like these, the geometrical distortions of the face are guarantied! :) Sometimes they are funny, sometimes - grotesque, even some of the people in front of the camera won't recognize themselves :)
Generally, all the wide lenses (let's say under 35mm on a full frame camera) make everything that is close to them much bigger than it really is. (if this crossed your mind, same applies to private parts as well, hehehe :PPP )
Like it or not, you have to admit this is very creative in a way, isn't it? :D I mean, not the private parts angle but using that photo-technique :)
Warning: Do not use this method on people who lack any sense of humor! :D
