Fire from the Sky Trunk

avatar

Fires are likely to happen on planet Mars.

To have an Opel Astra (not to be mistaken with Astra Zeneca) is more unlikely on planet Mars.

However, considering who is the cartoon character who has taken as his destiny to inhabit the red planet, I wouldn't be surprised to see all kinds of shit there. Sorry but not sorry :) Read between the lines :D It is so sad to see so many delusional persons. Stay safe and take care.

That looks so totally out-of-this world...lol.. but no, it is an extraordinary picture and I am soooo jealous!!!

I can't wait to A) get out of winter, B) get out of lockdown and C) get my own proper camera so I too can finally start being more creative with my photography like this.

Can you please explain the Metering Mode being Multi-segment?

Oh :) I wish all that happen soon to you, @chociscorpipro ;) I love to see more quality photos here on the platform ;)

The multi-segment metering mode is marked with brackets and a dot on the display of the cameras. Shortly said, the camera software measures the light of the whole scene before deciding what ISO and/or shutter speed/aperture to use in the semi-automatic modes as aperture and shutter priority correspondingly. Did I explain it well? :)

Oh great thanks, yes so it's essentially a light meter.

I have a seed growing in my mind for a Nikon p950 as I don't need the multiple lens or the weight...but that could always change...😂

AND the 950 also has Bulb mode in manual too....

See I used to shoot in the 80's when I was a teenager on a Konica SLR (I used to P&D photos and work in camerahouses)and used to go on stage and take lots of band photos- many were (acidentally) in Bulb mode (you know how it gets after a few bourbons and low low..🤣.).

As soon as my new scanner arrives, I'll upload them here so you can see the cool effects...

Yes, it gives another dimension for creativity :D
That would be great, I'm looking forward :) By the way, there is a nice pleasant community for film photography by @victorbz - @hive-120035 where I have plans to scan and post some of my old negatives from the 80-ies, some day when I feel it is the right time :)

huge thank you for the kind words and the recommendation to this community.
i will happy to see your film photography there as well. The community is highly artistic due to the origin of the photography that is coming there. @lightcaptured

I know I shot some great stuff back then, but I feel way more artistic now with all of the digital tools available, but thanks, I do look forward to sharing more in there once I get my new scanner.

sounds great.
by my opinion digital is not more artistic, but it's only me :-)

I think it's a different type of artistic but I can't explain how cause I see both sides of the artistic analogue VS digital....

I would say... it all depends by the "device" behind the camera, LOL :P

Yes I published this post into the photography lovers community about a month ago,
https://peakd.com/hive-194913/@chociscorpipro/from-the-archives-literally-scanning-as-we-speak

Then following some advice, joined and published this post into the analogue film community shortly after.
https://peakd.com/hive-120035/@chociscorpipro/my-intimate-history-with-analog-into-digital-and-coming-back

And then not long after that, the scanner died and so have been waiting (4weeks now- the warehouse is 4 blocks away from my place...) for the new one...

So as soon as I can get the process happening again, I'll be sharing my golden oldies in there...

And we're still in lockdown...
