Strolling through the Plaza de Quillota in Chile - Paseando por la Plaza de Quillota en Chile//ENG/ESP

Today I had to run some errands in a town called Quillota. It is located in the Fifth Region, near Viña del Mar, which you have surely heard sometime. After doing my errands, I took the opportunity to walk around this square, which although I had walked here once, I had not observed it.

I noticed that it has around it some important buildings like a church and the City Hall, so it follows the same pattern that I told you in the publication of the Plaza de Armas in Santiago. City squares usually follow this pattern, government buildings, churches, etc.

In the square I could see some sculptures, such as a very nice tree with some faces carved on its roots. There was also a stage that I really don't know what it was used for, although there were some children playing. And their respective green areas and benches to sit on.

It is not as big as the one in Santiago, of course, but it has its nice areas to spend some time there. I hope you like the pictures, greetings!

Hoy me tocó venir a hacer unas diligencias a una ciudad llamada Quillota. Esta queda en la Quinta Región, cerca de Viña del Mar, que seguramente has escuchado alguna vez. Luego de hacer mis trámites, aproveché de pasear por esta plaza, que si bien había caminado alguna vez por acá, no la había observado.

Me di cuenta que tiene a su alrededor algunos edificios importantes como una iglesia y la Municipalidad, por lo que sigue el mismo patrón que les comenté en la publicación de la Plaza de Armas de Santiago. Las plazas de las ciudades, suelen llevar este patrón, edificios gubernamentales, iglesias, etc.

En la plaza pude ver algunas esculturas, como un árbol muy bonito que en su base de raíces, le tallaron unos rostros. También una tarima que la verdad no sé para qué se usa, aunque estaban unos niños jugando. Y sus respectivas áreas verdes y bancos para sentarse.

No es tan grande como la de Santiago, por supuesto, pero tiene sus áreas bonitas para estar un rato en ella. Espero les gusten las fotos, saludos!
