Yesterday, I had the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of one of my elderly neighbors, whom I am very fond of. As always, their family welcomed me with open arms, with that warmth that characterizes them and makes me feel at home every time they invite me over. There was a very nice atmosphere, full of laughter and simple conversations, the kind that warm the heart. They prepared delicious meat, tasty sandwiches, and, to accompany them, a cup of tea that was perfect for the afternoon.
I love when these moments happen, because it's not just about celebrating another year of life, but also about sharing with people who are already part of my daily life. I couldn't stay until they sang “Happy Birthday” because it was late and I had to go back, but I left with a happy heart for having been there and being part of their celebration.

Ayer tuve la oportunidad de compartir en el cumpleaños de uno de mis viejitos vecinos, a quienes les tengo un cariño muy especial. Como siempre, su familia me recibió con los brazos abiertos, con esa calidez que los caracteriza y que me hace sentir como en casa cada vez que me invitan. Había un ambiente muy lindo, lleno de risas y conversaciones sencillas, de esas que alegran el corazón. Prepararon carne bien sabrosa, unos sándwiches ricos y, para acompañar, un tecito que cayó perfecto para la tarde.

Me encanta cuando se dan esos momentos, porque no solo es celebrar un año más de vida, sino también compartir con personas que ya forman parte de mi día a día. No me pude quedar hasta que cantaran el cumpleaños porque ya era tarde y debía regresar, pero me fui con el corazón contento de haber estado ahí y ser parte de su celebración.
