Año 1991, recuerdo claramente a mis 8 años de edad que fue mi primer encuentro con esta maravillosa saga, observé sobre la máquina Betamax de mi hogar, 4 cintas de videos particulares, se trataba de la saga de Rocky en ese formato el cual consiguieron en calidad de préstamo en aquel entonces para ser disfrutadas por mi familia, desde la primera película de esta franquicia hasta la mas popular de todas, Rocky IV.
Year 1991, I remember clearly at my 8 years of age that was my first encounter with this wonderful saga, I observed on the Betamax machine of my home, 4 particular videotapes, it was the Rocky saga in that format which they got on loan at that time to be enjoyed by my family, from the first film of this franchise to the most popular of all, Rocky IV.
La primera escena de esta película a mi corta edad me dejó realmente impactado, no tenía idea de lo que realmente representaba, pero el solo hecho de escuchar la canción de Eye of the Tiger de la banda Survivor y ver como dos guantes de boxeo giraban lentamente para luego chocar y romperse uno con otro, claramente representaba una batalla entre dos grandes potencias mundiales de la época, USA vs La Unión Soviética, a pesar de que desconocía en ese momento el trasfondo de la escena y por ende de la película, esa fue la primera escena que me atrapó de la saga de Rocky marcando así mi vida convirtiéndome en un “Rocky fan”
The first scene of this movie at my young age left me really shocked, I had no idea what it really represented, but just listening to the song of Eye of the Tiger by the band Survivor and see how two boxing gloves were slowly spinning and then collide and break one with another, clearly represented a battle between two great world powers of the time, USA vs The Soviet Union, although I did not know at that time the background of the scene and therefore the film, that was the first scene that caught me of the Rocky saga thus marking my life becoming a "Rocky fan"
Un saludo a toda la comunidad de Hive! especialmente a la comunidad de HIVE C/Movies & TV Shows, y en esta oportunidad como ya lo han notado, quiero compartir con los lectores uno de los títulos que marcó mi vida positivamente el cual fue el de Rocky IV, escrita, dirigida y protagonizada por el gran actor Sylvester Stallone, película el cual justo el día 11 de Noviembre de este año (hace 5 días) y 36 años después de su primer lanzamiento en Estados Unidos y Canadá el día 27 de Noviembre del año 1985, fue remasterizada y reeditada nuevamente por el gran “Sly” (Sylvestre Stallone) gracias al apoyo de MGM Studios y lanzada nuevamente en los teatros cinematográficos por una noche en varias salas de cine en Estados Unidos y Reino Unido, lográndose conseguir a partir del día 12 de Noviembre en diferentes plataformas como Amazon y Apple TV el cual recomiendo ampliamente no dejar de verla si te agrada este tipo de drama.

En el canal de youtube llamado Sly Stallone Shop podrán encontrar un documental oficial de una hora y treinta minutos, dirigido por John Herzfeld lanzado el 30 de Octubre de este año a través de esa plataforma, donde podrán disfrutar como el propio Sylvester Stallone (Sly) nos cuenta sus impresiones acerca de este Film siendo el más taquillero de la saga, entre los aspectos interesantes este nos narra por ejemplo, su desagrado a ciertas escenas del film como la aparición del Robot futurístico, la poca “personalidad” que tenían algunos personajes ya que para la época, a el solo le interesaba cautivar al espectador con escenas de acción y menos sentimentalismo y en lo personal lo que más me ha sorprendido de sus revelaciones, es lo que para el representa esta película.
In the youtube channel called Sly Stallone Shop you can find an official documentary of one hour and thirty minutes, directed by John Herzfeld released on October 30 at this year through that platform, where you can enjoy how Sylvester Stallone (Sly) himself tells us his impressions about this film being the highest grossing of the saga, among the interesting aspects this tells us for example, his dislike to certain scenes of the film as the appearance of the futuristic Robot, the little "personality" that some characters had because for the time, he was only interested in captivating the viewer with action scenes and less sentimentality and personally what has surprised me most of his revelations, is what for him represents this film.

Para Sylvester Stallone, no solo representa uno de sus mayores éxitos económicos siendo esta la película más popular de su carrera quizás, no solo representa la época de la “Guerra fría” durante los años 80´s que vivían las dos grandes potencias del momento como lo eran Estados Unidos y la Unión Soviética (La Federación Rusia hoy día), no solo representa una película motivacional y de inspiración para millones de personas en todo el mundo donde sus escenas y espectaculares temas musicales te inspiran a superarte más y más y te invitan de forma “subliminal” a entrenar para ser el mejor.. pues para Sylvester Stallone, esta película se asemeja a un suceso histórico en la época de vísperas a la segunda guerra mundial, donde ve reflejado el personaje de Rocky el cual es interpretado por el mismo “Sly”, como al legendario boxeador Estado Unidense Joe Louis campeón mundial de peso pesado durante más de once años (1937 a 1949) récord que nadie a conseguido superar aún, y el personaje que representaba el poderío tecnológico y de “supremacía” del régimen socialista de la Unión Sovietica en el film llamado Iván Drago (Dolph Loundgren) este representa al boxeador campeón de pesos pesados Alemán Max Schmeling el cual fue utilizado por el mismo Hitler a través de su ministro de propaganda Joseph Goebbels, como una herramienta política para demostrarle al mundo la “supremacía Aria” que según el desquiciado de Hitler, poseía por “naturaleza divina” el pueblo Alemán, concepto deprimente y de adoctrinamiento político que utilizaba el régimen Nazi en aquel entonces como propaganda.

Como dato curioso, ambos campeones (Joe Louis y Max Schmeling) se enfrentaron en dos oportunidades, la primera en el año de 1936 perdiendo contra todo pronóstico la pelea el Estado Unidense de apenas 22 años en ese entonces pero que venía de una campaña de 24 victorias consecutivas, contra el Alemán el cual poseía mayor experiencia pero que ya no se encontraba en la cúspide de su carrera, sin embargo, dos años después (1938) ambos boxeadores volvieron a encontrarse en el mismo Ring ya casi a puerta del Holocausto (Segunda Guerra mundial), pero las cosas habían cambiado… Louis había ganado el campeonato del mundo y lo había defendido en 3 ocasiones con éxito, Schmeling por su parte, se negaba a formar parte de las filas del partido Nazi y se opuso públicamente a la ideología de la “superioridad de la raza Aría”

22 de Junio de 1938: suena la campana y de entrada Joe Louis se lanzó sobre el Alemán dándole una combinación destructora de golpes cayendo este en la lona luego de un poco más de un minuto de la pelea y durante la cuenta regresiva del referee, Schmeling logró ponerse de pie, pero el Estado Unidense continuó su repertorio de golpes volviéndolo a tumbar nuevamente, Schmeling solo pudo lanzar dos golpes en todo el combate.. la pelea duró 2 minutos y cuatro segundos ya que su entrenador tiró la toalla y detuvo el combate, fue un momento de júbilo para Estados Unidos, donde un periodista deportivo citó una frase que se inmortalizó: “Es una victoria para su raza, la raza humana!” esta derrota del Alemán Max Schemeling enfureció a Hitler a tal punto que fue desterrado como atleta Alemán.

I remember that final part where the Soviets start cheering Rocky, not a very believable scene, but still exciting. The Russian boxer training with the latest technology and Rocky training with wood, rocks, hahaha A very propagandistic movie about American supremacy. I enjoyed it very much
hahaha well, I can't talk much about human behavior, but I have seen how a group or masses of people in a soccer stadium (at least here in Latin America) when their team plays a "shameful" role start to support the other team as a protest measure against what their own team does, but I doubt that in the 80's that was the thinking in that part of the movie hahaha 😄, surely Stallone didn't modify that scene, thanks for visit!

No sabes cuanto aprecio tu comentario, muchas gracias! no te imaginas como disfruté haciendo este post, lo vi como un tributo a mi película favorita que hace unos días fue lanzada nuevamente, remasterizada y re-editada con nuevas escenas, hay muchas películas que disfruto pero te aseguro que esta la veo una y otra vez y no deja de inspirarme, desde sus temas musicales hasta cada una de sus escenas y ¿porqué? por qué mas allá del mensaje que proyecta el film para cuando este fue lanzado (lograr la paz política de dos potencias en conflicto, el trabajar duro para lograr tus metas entre otras cosas) te enseña que todo va mas allá de lo material, la fama y el dinero y seguramente sabes a lo que me refiero, te recomiendo que veas el documental del "Making of Director´s cut" está en el canal oficial de youtube (en mi post está el enlace) allí Sly explica claramente que la película aparte de representar lo que te comenté, fue una semejanza del evento antes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial que protagonizaron los boxeadores Louis y Schmeling. Rocky 4, un clásico, David vs Goliath, puedo comparar con lo de "La Máquina vs El Hombre", el talento natural vs la trampa, el bueno vs el malo, no se, está película tiene muchas referencias, por supuesto la más clara es la de USA vs La Unión Soviética, la guerra fría, cosas que a pesar de mostrar con mucha fuerza al comienzo y final del film, nunca le di importancia, lo que quería ver era el entrenamiento con excelentes temas ochenteros y por supuesto la pelea final, me daba risa porque después de ver las peleas de Rocky, en especial la de la tercera y cuarta y después ver peleas reales y pensaba "estos tipos no pelean como Rocky" de verdad que quien pensó en se tipo de peleas si que estaba aburrido de ver boxeo real.
jajajaj "Is not a machine, is a man!" de verdad muchas gracias por comentar @nameless16, has hecho un resumen total de lo que representa la película, es que tienes muchos mensajes positivos para tomar en cada una de sus escenas, acompañados de grandiosos temas como "Is no easy way out", "Eye of the tiger" entre otros, eso sin contar las montajes musicales durante los entrenamientos, simplemente es una joya maestra esta película y si lo analizas mas a fondo... mira un poco como fue el ascenso de Sylvester Stallone, escribió, dirigió y protagonizó esta saga de venir de la nada, fue tal cual Rocky I: El campeón que le da la oportunidad a un "novato desconocido" y este aprovechó la oportunidad! vaya, la lista de mensajes la podemos hacer más larga aún, saludos y gracias!
