And today's face was selected because of the angle, posing a few little challenges with positioning features correctly.

The best place to start is around the eyes. There is where we focus first. Put all of that in order and than you can judge the proportions for the rest of the face.

In fact, the accuracy is not so critical once you move to the extremities. There's a a little trick for you. If you place careful attention to many master works of the past, you will often see this play out. Understand this and you can trick the viewer into doing all of the hard work for you. 😉

Do you literally start from the eyes or do you use constructagons first? When I used to draw I would literally start from the eyes first which confused a lot of other people who would normally start from either constructagons or the head.

I like pro-tips too XD

I'll of course put in guide lines to place the eyes on. Sometimes I'll construct, sometimes I dive in. I also use a proportional grid if I want to ensure better accuracy.

I might drop a few more tips along the way. 🙃
