Palace Graden - Plein Air Painting
What is on the other side of those gates, is a mystery to me. They have been forever locked and all I can do is look from the other side.
Another plein air expedition out into the golden colours of #Autumn resulted in this #landscape #painting of one of the wrought iron gates in the #Belvedere #Palace #gardens.
Those last warm sunny days in Autumn are to #treasure. When those long shadows finally fall across you, that's the reminder of how fleeting it is.
Go out, enjoy the fresh air and #sunshine. Soak in the the fine details, the colour and pageantry that Autumn offers.

I find scenes like this and a traditional painting style(if that is what it is) extremely pleasing and peaceful.
Hi Eve! Yes, you can call it traditional painting. Peaceful is the reason I do these works. It is time out for the mind and for me as the artist, time out of the studio to enjoy the season, yet get some work done. Win, win!
For me it’s the same with knitting. I always admire people who can paint well, it’s an incredible skill.
Like knitting, it's practice that gets you there.
It's a very nice gate. Can you fit through the bars? Otherwise maybe there's a hole in the hedge somewhere XD
Nope and nope. They thought of all of that, stopping cheeky monkey's like you. There's a solid wall behind the hedge. The only way is to purchase a ticket at the museum and I'm not about to do that. 😝
Guess it's climb the hedge in the dead of night then XD
Honestly I would be very surprised and concerned if i was the first person to think of ways of illegally accessing some interesting looking premises XD
It might be possible on "Long Night of the Museums", but I'm always busy looking at other things that night.
