Late Night Quick Sketch

Older faces are easier or more interesting to draw because there is so much history in them. Their life is written on their face. There are those that say you can even decode this, because we develop habits of expression, in our verbal and body language. In time these become permanent marks on our faces.

I guess what makes older faces easier to render, is the symmetry of youth is gone (one of the hallmarks of beauty) and hence the image does not need to be as exacting to represent them.

Yesterday saw me consumed with a new painting, so I did not reach my target of executing a drawing and posting. Thus I have to post another some time today.
