New experience... Weekend visit to Moján

Hello my dear friends Hivers and the Weekend Experiences community. Today I am going to share with you my weekend in Santa Cruz de Mara, el Moján. One of the municipalities that make up the Zulia-Venezuela state.

We began our tour by leaving our house, my brother and I, as in the best "Backpackers" style, as defined there: "With little money and light luggage", but very willing to enjoy the experience as it will be presented in the afternoon. When I arrived at the subway station waiting for this means of transportation, I took advantage of the opportunity of the sunset in my land of Marabina to take some very beautiful photos.

As the minutes passed I took more photographs of the space of this station to share them with you and show a little piece, an extract of Maracaibo. Furthermore, I am passionate about photography, it is my hobby, something that entertains me and I enjoy it a lot.

Between the wait and the wait... The subway was taking so long to arrive that we opted to take one car per station to the city center. Where they would be waiting for us to take us to the Moján. For a long time I had been curious to visit this municipality until the opportunity arose to be invited for a program through social networks. The route is somewhat long by bus and the area upon arrival is very rural and the ethnic groups that predominate in it are the Wayúu and Añú, people that you will come across in the place throughout the route if you are visiting it.

Being a rural area, there is no paving and you can see the houses with fences made by the inhabitants themselves, made of tree sticks and wire. In addition, they all have their plants and vegetation. Being already in the place where we would be visiting, we had one afternoon with my brother Leo who was already his second chance there and myself who was going for the first time, we spent a very pleasant moment talking with two men present, while from time to time he killed one than another mosquito or mosquito that bit me haha.

As night fell, everything was prepared for the interview to be held in "Divine Expansion", on the topic of biblical culture. It was a very enjoyable time and I enjoyed being able to share knowledge, experiences and conversation in general with these people that I had the opportunity to meet and share something with them.

Without a doubt, every day is the opportunity to do new things, discover new places and meet new people.

When night fell, they gave us dinner at the place and hosted us in their home, where for the first time I slept a whole night in a hammock; which is, a light hammock, woven from cords or fiber. Made with a type of fabric similar to that of fishing nets, typical of the Wayuu ethnic group; So I had to fall asleep in this one, I thought I would wake up sore since I'm used to my bed, I can't sleep this way; But even the discomfort or tension due to so much fatigue from so many activities that I had been doing earlier in the week, resting on the hammock, disappeared! I think I'll buy one to have at home and relax in it from time to time, definitely.

When dawn arrived, at 6 AM we woke up and got ready to return to Maracaibo again. Outside the house where we were staying was the transportation that would leave us in the central part of our city.

Once we were in the center of Maracaibo we decided to make a stop to have some breakfast, since we were very hungry and eating something would give us the strength to continue until we reached our home. We opted to eat some pastelitos and tequeños very much in the style of our Zulian roots, with their good guasacaca sauce and soda, in one of the stalls in this busy, central and commercial Marabina area.

Once we finished our breakfast we headed to the Libertador metro station to begin the route that takes us to the area closest to where we live.

And this way I can say in the middle of this content...End of the tour! Like the voice that informs in the Maracaibo metro that the ride is over hehe. Until the next installment of my weekends full of adventures and pleasant moments. Thank you for your attention and reading.

Oh, I can't imagine that you have slept in the hammock but it's good that you woke up very nicely. Indeed, your experience there will be a great memory worthy of remembering. God bless.

There's a reason it's called "The Land of the Beloved Sun." And yes, the heat and the sun are inclement, but we still certainly enjoy ourselves in the midst of it hehe. Thank you for your visit in this content and I hope one day you can also visit the state of Zulia.

Greetings and blessings.
