The purpose of this series of articles is to express ideas and opinions on issues relevant to the community. From a broad approach and assuming the utmost respect for the different positions that exist around them. In the last two posts, we exposed our position on issues related to decentralization and democracy within Hive.
Today we are going to touch the topic related to the potential of our community as a technological platform for the implementation of training trends such as distance education and teleworking as areas that are having a great development worldwide. In this sense, it is evident that we are facing a deepening of the digital transformation that began decades ago, thanks to the rise of digital business models and decentralized finance.
If we make a brief retrospective analysis, until today, at any level or model, studying was an activity that objectively caused costs to all the entities involved: whether to the users of the system, the companies that finance it or to the State. It is no secret that the possibility of return on the different investments in this field has been very long term with a very low profit margin.
With the advent of web 3.0, education has not only ceased to be a long-term investment, but is becoming an economic and financial activity with the same potential and dynamism of other activities within crypto finance and blockchain. However, in order to obtain these achievements and for them to result in benefits that imply human and financial development, any platform has to make some changes in the immediate future.
In the specifically educational aspects, Hive should promote the development of the so-called technological, financial, artistic and environmental mega-skills through innovative practices that incorporate the progress achieved so far in these areas. In that order of ideas, such an objective would not slow down the progress of other areas of the decentralized economy, since both could be developed in parallel.
Therefore, it is important to generate an integrative thinking that incorporates joint actions in the search for true innovative and open practices within our platform. In this sense, it is necessary to build more accessible access routes to knowledge for all users that make life in it. That is, clear answers to meet the training needs that can be covered without leaving the radius of action of the network.
I insist in affirming that these innovations are viable, without them meaning a radical or traumatic change in its architecture in terms of equipment to be used and its current ecosystem. The question we should ask ourselves is: How much can Hive survive the changes while remaining indifferent to what is happening outside? I have heard, or rather read, many statements that consider that the community is better off being a hidden treasure, rather than growing out of control.
Each position, the conservative and the one that proposes more openness, has its strengths and weaknesses, as well as its opportunities and threats. It would be convenient to think about which educational tools are feasible to develop within the hive. Make a prospective analysis of these and see, for example, if they could be developed through applications or be promoted by communities through programs, courses and other instructional mechanisms.
In short, seeing education as a potential business model may have more benefits than negative aspects. And it should not be an option to leave it aside. It is important to develop a virtual platform that enables the execution of different functions, tasks and processes related to instruction, teleworking, financial training. Likewise, it is essential to strengthen our digital ecosystem to achieve the viability of a business model with educational content.
In this sense, measures have already been taken to articulate with other social networks such as Twitter, this type of links strengthen the hive and enable its intelligent and progressive growth. Consistent with the above, a community or company develops in line with its productive capacity and in this the human resource plays a key role.
