First day on the new job

Today I am just now getting to touch blurt. I packed up in the morning, knowing I may not be home for a few weeks. I then drove the hour and half to the hotel. The road is good, just the last 15 minutes is a bit rough and unpaved.

I met with my business partner and guy that has been acting as manager during a transition period after covid. The hotel has been lightly opened since February. I am here to relaunch it and put things back together.

We did some financial planning and then a good walk through of the property. There is lots of work to do in the coming weeks.

I had a good meal of prawns and fried rice with some pepper sauce. It was very yummy.

A quick video run through of my apartment at the hotel until I fill the occupancy and need to move into a smaller room.

I took a little walk in the evening.

There is a lagoon not far away and I explored a bit.

All in all it was a good day and as I observe the operations of the hotel for the next week I can start to put some plans in order to make this a hot place to stay.
