Y así comienza mi historia.
And so my story begins.
Desde hace algunos años la emigración de venezolanos hacia otros países ha sido masiva, pero, no les vengo hablar sobre eso, hoy quiero hablarles del maravilloso país en el que vivo, sus hermosas cordilleras, el salto ángel, la península de Paraguaná, los Roques, el tobogán de la selva, Choroní, el parque de Morrocoy, Pico el águila, Canaima, Margarita y muchos otros lugares esplendidos que tal vez, se me escapan en este momento y en los que muchos o pocos han oído hablar.
For some years now the emigration of Venezuelans to other countries has been massive, but I am not going to talk about that, today I want to talk about the wonderful country where I live, its beautiful mountain ranges, the Angel Falls, the Paraguaná Peninsula, Los Roques, the jungle slide, Choroni, Morrocoy Park, Pico el Águila, Canaima, Margarita and many other splendid places that perhaps escape me at this moment and which many or few have heard of.

Como no amar a mi País, si desde que me levanto, en mis mañanas, antes de ir a trabajar escucho el programa de: El Locutor- Periodista- Abogado, Eduardo Rodríguez Giolitti, contagiándome de esa gran humanidad, entusiasmo y pasión por lo que hace, recordándonos cada día, que Venezuela sigue siendo ese gran país, en el que todos queremos seguir viviendo.
How not to love my country, if since I wake up, in my mornings, before going to work I listen to the program of: The Announcer - Journalist - Lawyer, Eduardo Rodriguez Giolitti, infecting me with that great humanity, enthusiasm and passion for what he does, reminding us every day, that Venezuela is still that great country, in which we all want to continue living.
Al salir de mi apartamento camino a mi trabajo, me encuentro diariamente, a la señora Sofia, de 54 años de edad, quien lleva vendiendo periódico por 28 años, con una gran sonrisa y llenándome de bendiciones, me da sus buenos días, luego al señor Pancho que es un mecánico – electricista de autos, más adelante me encuentro a una linda pareja que decidió emprender su negocio, en servicio de filtrado y llenado de agua para consumo, a todos les sonrió y les expreso mi gratitud por el amor, respeto y gran admiración, por seguir creyendo y apostando a nuestro País.
As I leave my apartment on my way to work, I meet daily, Mrs. Sofia, 54 years old, who has been selling newspapers for 28 years, with a big smile and filling me with blessings, gives me her good morning, then Mr. Pancho who is a mechanic - car electrician, later I meet a nice couple who decided to start their business, in filtering service and filling water for consumption, I smile to all and express my gratitude for the love, respect and great admiration, to continue believing and betting on our country.

Y es que los venezolanos estamos hechos de perseverancia, constancia, sueños, proyectos, amor, sentimientos, emociones, que nos hacen destacar en cualquier parte del Mundo.
Venezuelans are made of perseverance, perseverance, dreams, projects, love, feelings, emotions, which make us stand out in any part of the world.
San Cristóbal, es la ciudad donde resido, se conoce como la ciudad de la cordialidad, las personas hacen, que uno se sienta, como en ese pequeño espacio de su casa, son amorosos, amables, cálidos y sensibles. Donde me digo a mí misma. ¡No vale! Yo no me quiero ir de mi Ciudad y mucho menos de mi País.
San Cristobal, the city where I live, is known as the city of cordiality, people make you feel like in that small space of your home, they are loving, kind, warm and sensitive. Where I say to myself, "No way! I don't want to leave my city and much less my country.
Cada día veo con gran orgullo, a personas; andando bicicleta, de todas las edades, otros corriendo por cierto esa actividad a mí me encanta, algunos prefieren ir a la Montaña nevada u otros como yo, que asisten al gimnasio, es una Ciudad súper activa, socialmente ni se diga, sitios de comida estupenda, excelentes Universidades; como la de Los Andes (ULA), la Experimental del Táchira (UNET) o La Católica, contamos hasta con la primera y única escuela de reciclaje del país.
Every day I see with great pride, people riding bicycles, of all ages, others running by the way that activity I love, some prefer to go to the snowy mountain or others like me, who attend the gym, is a super active city, socially not to mention, great food places, excellent universities, such as the Andes (Ula), the Experimental Táchira (Unet) or the Catholic, we even have the first and only school of recycling in the country.

Por último, pero, no menos importante, nuestra familia, y es que el venezolano, se caracteriza por ser tan familiar, ese de que los domingos, asiste al almuerzo en casa de su abuela, madre, tía, o simplemente a la casa de la familia de los amigos, que también pasan a ser como si fueran tu familia, como cambiarlo, como no recibir un abrazo reconfortante, de esos que te reinician, te alienta, te llena de amor, en lo personal, no cambiaría la mía, con sus locuras, regaños, consejos, echadores de broma. Los adoro infinitamente y les agradezco por tanto amor, son lo mejor del mundo- mundial, cada uno, tiene esa personalidad que los hace únicos.
Last but not least, our family, and is that the Venezuelan, is characterized by being so familiar, that on Sundays, attends lunch at the home of his grandmother, mother, aunt, or simply at the home of the family of friends, who also happen to be as if they were your family, how to change it, how not to receive a comforting hug, those that reinitiate you, encourages you, fills you with love, personally, I would not change mine, with his follies, scoldings, advice, joke tellers. I adore them infinitely and thank them for so much love, they are the best in the world, each one has that personality that makes them unique.
Todas estas cosas maravillosas, me hacen reflexionar, luchar y resistir. Seguir haciendo lo que hacemos y hacerlo bien, debemos estar convencidos cada día, de que lograremos construir a Venezuela, País generoso, con una fortaleza increíble. Todos los venezolanos que seguimos aquí y los que están fuera, que se sientan orgullosos en decir “Soy venezolano y amo a mi país”.
All these wonderful things make me reflect, fight and resist. We must continue doing what we do and do it well, we must be convinced every day that we will be able to build Venezuela, a generous country with an incredible strength. All Venezuelans who are still here and those who are abroad should feel proud to say "I am Venezuelan and I love my country".
