Musical instrument made by mom and dad

1000833770.jpg

Greetings and blessings, my dear friends at @Motherhood. It is a pleasure to greet you and visit you today. I hope you are all doing wonderfully well. Classes are coming to an end, and the children are working on their final school projects. This time, my princess Amber's class was assigned to make a musical instrument.

By the way, the teacher asked us to try to have each student bring a different musical instrument and gave us the freedom to make it with recyclable materials or it could be a toy or perhaps a new instrument, really. It had to be fully functional.

I was looking online for some ideas for something to make, since I didn't have anything ready, and this rattle made with bells caught my attention. So I went to several stores to find the essential material for this project: bells.

1000833749.jpg

1000833750.jpg

I saw these colorful ones and thought they were great. They were very pretty, but a little expensive, or rather, I didn't have much money left, since I had already spent enough that day making hats for my princesses. Then I saw that the gold bells were half the price of the colorful ones, so I bought both kinds. They all made the same sound anyway.

Then at home, I asked my husband to help me. At first, we were going to make them out of wood, but we couldn't find any. So my husband remembered that down in the neighborhood he had seen this PVC pipe lying around and had said it might be useful for something, but he didn't pick it up because he would be doing what he criticizes me for, which is keeping everything, hehehe.

It turns out he had to bite his tongue and go get the PVC pipe from the floor down there, and it helped us make this beautiful project. He made some holes in it with a hot nail and cut some pieces of wire, all the same size, to make fasteners for the bells.

1000833752.jpg

After he placed them all, alternating the gold bells with the colored ones, it was my turn to decorate it. Since the pipe was ugly, I decorated it with blue satin ribbon and purple iridescent cardboard that I had bought for the caps, and as you can see, it turned out very pretty and sounded great.

It's a school project made by mom and dad. My princess didn't help us much because she was at grandma's house. Although when she came, mom said, I wanted to help, but we couldn't waste any more time, and today she left with her musical instrument, happy. She got up early and was very cheerful, since today she would be carrying the musical instrument, plus a flag they asked her to bring. By the way, I also had a Spanish flag stored away somewhere, since each child was going to carry a flag from a different country, and since I had that one stored away, we took advantage of the opportunity to have her carry it.

This is why my husband sees and recognizes the importance of recycling or reusing the things I have stored away. She was also excited because today there was a parade of all the students at the school since it's our anniversary.

Well, friends, I hope you like this project. I really liked it; it turned out cute and functional, and my princess loved it. As you can see, with a little creativity and ingenuity, and if we don't have it, we look for ideas on the internet and get to work to help our children with their school projects.

Thank you very much for visiting, and see you next time. God bless you all.
