I'm going to toast you tonight. Poem.
. . In two glasses of a sad absence I'm going to toast your joy I'll toast to the longing to be together, I will ask God to bless you Then I'll grab the second glass However, so you have a good timeI'm going to toast you tonight.
I'm going to toast you tonight,
and I'll start by wishing you happiness
clearing up my serene sight.
by the white light of your smile,
and when I'm in the room
I will think your pretty eyes.
and in the preamble of the dim light
I'll toast your happy birthday
and for your successes in life.
and I'll be thoughtful for a while,
and when emptying the first glass,
for sure, without being seen, I will cry.
and I will think of your face and your shine,
and as can you not see my sadness
you will think that I am too fine.
I'll just laugh at my virtual flight,
but I'm going to toast with all my heart
for your happiness tonight.
