Powdered Sugar Donut Handmade Clay Keychain

Powdered Sugar Donut.gif

Hello, I used to love to cook some dessert late at night, but lately I have been doing it less. I guess I am so busy with something that I don't have time for it. My cousin always asks me to make the donut. I usually make the one with Powdered Sugar and powdered milk. I love how simple and tasty it tastes. I remembered we used to eat it after eating lunch or dinner.

So I am going to make a powdered sugar donut clay keychain. The reason why I made this is my Facebook reminded me of my story I posted of me making a donut, so why not do it, hehe.

Materials I Used:

  • Polymer Clay
  • Glass Sheet
  • Acrylic Stamping Block
  • Brush
  • Needle Tool
  • Toothbrush
  • Sticker
  • Scissors
  • Soft Pastels
  • Paintbrush
  • Acrylic Rolling Pin
  • Glass Lid
  • White Sand
  • Liquid Clay
  • Pallette Knife
  • Eyepin
  • Oven
  • Keychain
  • Pliers

Craft Time!

I condition the clay and weigh it for future reference. Make sure to knead the clay until the texture is soft.

And then I shape it into a ball and place it on an acrylic stamping block.

Using the tip of the brush, I poke the middle of the clay.

To add texture, I use the needle tool, tooth brush, and Tree brush tool.

12.JPG

To make the texture look realistic, just dab the toothbrush on the clay.

I stick a sticker in the middle of the clay so that it can look how a cooked donut.

And then to add realistic shades, I use soft pastels and a brush to do the job. After that, remove the sticker I put earlier.

28.JPG

To make the powdered sugar, I pour white sand on a glass lid, and then I crush it using the tip of an acrylic rolling pin

29.JPG

To make the powdered sand stick to the clay, I mix clear glue and translucent clay and then mix them using pallette knife.

30.JPG

31.JPG

After that, I apply the mixture by rubbing the clay onto it.

32.JPG

33.JPG

And then put it on the powdered sand and rub it around. After that, I do it on the other side too.

34.JPG

35.JPG

And then I put the eyepin.

36.JPG

37.JPG

And before baking it, I preheat the oven first and then bake it at the temperature and time as instructed on the packaging of the clay. Let the clay cool down before proceeding to the next process, and then I am going to put the keychain.

To add the keychain, I put the jump ring into the eyepin and then locked it using the two pliers.

I wanted to bite it LOL.

Ohhh this is the kind of donut that I love basta with powdered milk din. Mas simple, mas masarap for me. Like lasang lasa ang sarap! Kahit walang fillings perfect na for me. And seeing this made me crave for some. But man, you really is so cool in this. Ang cute and ang awesome lang coz kapag may naisipan ka na gawin, you'll go into it agad agad and tadaaaan, nakagawa na nga \(^o^)/
