Payday Sale Art Materials I Bought

29.JPG

Hello, how are you? A few days ago, it was a payday sale again, and I saw that I ran out of some of my art materials like paper, and free shipping is always my best friend, so I ordered everything I can remember that I needed. So here I am, and I am going to show you all of it. And they got all delivered all at a time, so I am excited that I unboxed it already LOL. Some of them got damaged in transit, but it is not the seller's fault, so I blame the courier for that, but it is still usable. Let me show you what I bought.

What I Bought!

The first one I bought is this painter's tape. I use this to tape the paper I use to keep it in its place, and I use this too for the paper I use for oil pastels. I thought this would be good and would not tear the paper. I was wrong.

What I do is I run it on my shirt a couple of times to remove extra stickiness to it before I tape a paper, and it magically works LOL.

Next is this blending tool for oil pastels. This one is my best buy this payday sale. It made the job easier, to be honest, and I tried this already, and it did work like magic.

I bought the pointed with a pointed tip, which I think is the general shape for everything, and no more messy fingers when it comes to drawing oil pastels, and it looks like it blends. I like it so much that if you're into oil pastels, you should invest in this.

Next is vellum paper. I just recently discovered this one. I like how smooth the surface of the paper is, perfect for oil pastel for me. I bought the legal size, and I like to cut it in half and use half of it. I bought the 220 gsm, and it is thick enough to hold oil pastels.

Next are acrylic paints. The red one exploded when I opened it, so it looks messy, and I never experienced that with my past orders, but I guess it is not the seller's fault. I ran out of cool red and cool yellow, so I bought these too.

Next thing in line. Fine line brush. I was in the hunt for years for the best fine line brush, but I came across this one, so I tried to buy one, and I fell in love with it, so I bought another size. This one is a number 2 fine line brush.

It can hold a lot of paint, and the tip can draw small details to my liking.

For my final order. Watercolor paper from Canson. I used to not like it before, but I realize the one I am using right now, which is Fabriano, is not my style right now, so maybe Canson will help me with my problem, and it did, and it more expensive than Fabriano, so it makes sense.

It has a cold-pressed texture on the front, which means it has more grain, and a hard-pressed texture in the back, which has a smooth texture to it.

I can't wait to use these art materials to improve my skill and technique.

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))

These materials are high quality; I like the thickness of the brush for a more subtle look.

I've never used a blending tool for pastels despite having used oil pastels a lot before, tho I wish they were easy to find back then. It's really so cool to have a lot of art materials easily available in online shopping nowadays. And that watercolor paper is so good :D

Same! That is true, buying art materials now is easier not like before and more affordable! Which is good! You’re right, I like it more now that the fabriano 🤣
