Making Mini Packaging and Painting It

packaging.gif

Hello, how are you? I saw a lot of my cousin's boxes from the coupon bond he bought online lying around his working table, so as not to waste the packaging and to save Mother Earth with just a little recycling, I decided to make a packaging box again, but this time a mini one.

This is perfect packaging for one keychain packing only, so I am so excited to use it for my plan.

Materials I Used:

  • Cardboard Box
  • Cutter
  • Pen
  • Jar with Water
  • Cutting Mat
  • Metal Ruler
  • Glue
  • Gouache Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Mini Spatula

Craft Time!

I cut the cardboard box into pieces sort it by size. I am going to use the smallest cardboard for today's packaging. I make sure the printed part is facing me, so that the blank part is the one on display, which is the part I am going to paint later.

Using the metal ruler, I scorch each side of the cardboard, and I use the width of the ruler for the thickness of the packaging.

Same as I do to the corner, I first measure what the center of the cardboard is by using the ruler.

9.JPG

10.JPG

I divide that measurement into two, and that is the middle part of the cardboard. Mark it using a pen, using the ruler again, I am going to place it on the mark, but make sure the mark is in the center of the ruler.

Now that I have placed it in the middle, I am going to scorch it using the cutter.

16.JPG

I fold those corners I scorch earlier, and I am going to completely cut the corners and the middle corners just like I did to the photo. And then I assembled it to test if it is fit.

To assemble it, I am going to glue each corner I cut and apply glue using this mini spatula tool. I make sure to glue the outer part just like I did in the photo.

21.JPG

Let the glue rest for a minute before gluing the cardboard together. After a minute, I stick everything together. The glue I use is thick, so it is easy to stick it together. If the glue you're using is runny, make sure to do the resting first.

This is what it looks like on the side and top part.

Let it completely dry before proceeding to the next step.

To paint the cardboard, I am going to use gouache. I first paint the stem.

Next is the petal, after that I outline it with black paint.

I did the same on the other cardboard, cut it, glue, paint.

I am so excited to use them!
