When I was in my elementary years I loved to collect different kinds of stickers the popular ones are the Disney princess stickers which come with a bundle the one you can buy on Fiesta. One time I had the idea of selling it in bundles but with different kinds of stickers.

It is so funny that even when I was a little one I was this business-minded person. It is a shame that I forgot I had a passion like that before, maybe because I was busy with school I don't know now that I realize "Dang I used to love to do this before" What a shame but that's life.

So yeah, now I know how to draw digitally I can draw whatever I want and make it as a sticker hehe. This is one reason I practice doing digital art because it has a lot of benefits, and the bonus part is you know traditional art too.

A few years ago I decided to make my very first sticker collections I sold some of them and most of them I gave to my family and friends. I realize that I am out of stock of freebie stickers so I borrowed my mom's printer because the printer we use at our house is with my cousin because he needs it for his thesis. So yeah, every time someone orders in my shop, it always gives me anxiety because of not having the printer. I need to rush to my mom's office to print the waybill. LOL. No one can stop me, I will always find a solution to the problem.

So yeah, I am planning on buying my own printer. I like the one my mom uses. I am eyeing it. our printer needs to retire after my cousin, as I remember the three of us used it for our thesis so she needs to retire soon. LOL

This is the process of how to make your own stickers.

The Process

First is to prepare your design for me I draw the design that I want to print and transfer it to any program of my choice I used Adobe Photoshop you can use any program you want as long as it supports printing.

The second is to print it. Tips print your stick to high resolution for better quality.

The third is to cover the sticker paper with laminating film and take notes I used this too because the ink of the printer is not waterproof so I need to use one. If you use a laser printer I guess the print will be waterproof because it uses pigment ink.

Make sure the sticker is free from dust. When I apply Laminating film, I make sure to turn off my electric fan or any device that can trigger dust to get on your sticker paper because if you apply the film with dirt, it can cause bubbles or be visible in the sticker.

This part you need patience in applying but you will get used to it I watched some tutorials on how to apply laminating film manually.

The first thing I did was to tape the end of the sticker so that when I applied the laminating film the sticker would not move.

Second I stick a little laminating film at the edge of the sticker paper so it will be easier to apply the remaining film.

Next, I used a ruler to stick the laminating film, What I did was as I moved the ruler down I pulled the backing.

Next, I used a bone folder to remove bubbles or make the laminating stick more.

The sticker is ready to be cut.

Cut the sticker with scissors. Make sure the scissors are sharp enough to cut this sticker.

I cut the sticker into pieces first, so it would be easier to cut it for the last time. So it will take you time to cut it, but it is worth it, and it is healing for me.

it took me hours to cut this but it's worth it.

I love how the stickers turn out, some of them are for personal use. If you are not sure how the sticker size, or color you should run a test print first on a piece of paper so you can save material. Trust me It helped me a lot from my past experience.

There is no right and wrong in making stickers as long as it makes you happy and creative go for it! Just don't stop when little things go wrong that can fix everything and get better as long as you try and try and try.
