Green Chili Gloom Handmade Clay Keychain

Hello, how are you? I’ve been so obsessed with eating spicy food lately, and I can’t stop eating it, sometimes adding extra chilis makes you eat more.
Whenever I cook a meal with chilis on it, especially green, I tend not to eat it. But to my surprise, I really do like green chilis, and I just eat with when it fried with the wrapper the one with cheese in it we call it “Dynamite” hehehe.
So yeah, I decided to make one using clay before I made Red Chili Gloom, but why not make Green Chili Gloom too? So I did.
Materials I Used:
- Polymer Clay
- Weighing Scale
- Needle Tool
- Dotting Tool
- X- Acto Knife
- Metal Ball
- UV Resin
- UV Lamp
- Nail Polish Brush
- Disposable Gloves
- Mask
- Acrylic Stamping Block
- Soft Pastels
- Brush
- Eyepin
- Oven
- Pliers
- Keychain
Craft Time!
I am going to use this lime green clay for Chili Gloom because it is close to the color of green chilis we have, and then I will condition the clay.
Shape the clay into a green chili, I suggest you search for the shape of a green chili to make the process easier.
I place the Green chili into an acrylic stamping block and then, using my metal ball, I add a dent for the Gloom head for later. Set it aside for later.
For the top part of the chili, I use a little darker green for it, and then I push that clay onto a metal ball to create a dent in the middle just like the top part of a chili.
This is what it looks like, and then I grab the chili I made earlier and combine the two.
Using the needle, I added texture to the green chili.
Then I added a little bit of shading using soft pastel and a brush.
For the head of Gloom, I used a skin tone and then shaped it into a bean-like shape.
And then I put that head onto the dent of chili. Then I added a map of the part of the face using a dotting tool.
I added the part one by one, I first added the eye, what I do is I roll or cut a small clay and shape into a small ball and then put those onto he map I did earlier one by one.
Same as for the eyebrows.
For the nose, I use pastel pink clay and shape it into a triangle and put the clay onto the face. To make it look like a nose, I cut just the bottom part of the clay using an X-Acto Knife.
For the mouth, I rolled clay the same as the one I use for the eye and eyebrows, but this time rolled it into a thin line and then cut the size I wanted, and then I added those one by one using an X-Acto knife.
For the blush, I use a pinkish soft pastel and a brush. I apply it on both cheeks and nose.
Then I added the eyepin.
It is time to bake the clay and make sure to set the time and temperature according to the packaging of the instructed. Let the clay cool down.
To make the clay shiny and with extra protection, I am going to apply a UV Resin and apply it using a nail polish brush.
Cure it under a UV Lamp for a few minutes.
To add the keychain, I put the jump ring into the eyepin.
And then lock it using pliers, make sure to use two different types.
Green Chili Gloom! I hope you like it!
