Digital Drawing #7 I Named Her Pink

Hello! Everybody! How are you? I'm back with another piece of art.

Last weekend, I was so down that unexpected things happened. I wanted to be distracted and make myself super busy to forget what happened last week.

I felt like crying, but no tears came out. I guess it's because I feel numb and used to it.

Just think positive but not in terms of COVID. hihihi

I created this art for me and you.

I like to imagine myself just floating on the water and just staring blankly at the sky, just like in a movie. But I can't swim, so no thanks. hihihi. I can float but can't swim. I'm the person who holds the side of the pool while swimming. LOL

I drew a lot of sketches before I decided that she was the one. I like her half-cold eyes with a kind-looking face. What I love the most is her hair. I had that kind of haircut before, and I wanted that kind of hair color for her. I might change my hair color soon.

This time I added cherry earrings and a flower to her ears. I planned to just make her natural without any make-up, but I couldn't help myself to be extra so. It suits her, so it's fine. For her lips, I just added a more natural-looking color.

For her body, the skeleton one is my style, so I can't help doing it. I like the uniqueness.

I just discovered my obsession with creating portraits with skeleton bodies last month. When I posted my very first art here on Hive, Before that, I kept doing it. No one will stop me now. haha.

I have a lot of ideas I want to create, but my phone can't handle them. So I better stop before it's too late and I might crash my art file again.

I'm still deciding whether I should buy a pen-display tablet or an Android tablet. If I buy a pen display, I think my laptop can't last that long. If that happens, I can't use the pen tablet for a while. And I need to adapt to another drawing application again. hehehe.

If I buy an Android tablet, I can still use the drawing application I'm using. And I can carry it around with me everywhere. But I'm still considering buying a pen display. I have more things to do there, I guess.

I drew traditionally before, but I fell in love with digital drawing. So now I feel I need to invest in a good drawing device. I'm still finding a reason to do that.

Process

1.png
1. After a million rough sketches, she's the one who caught my eyes.

2.png
2. I lowered the opacity of my rough sketch. As a result, I won't overlook any parts that needed to be colored.I'm clean at adding base color now. LOL

3.png
3. I have the habit of finishing the face first before adding the hair base color.

4.png
4. Added "cotton pink" as her hair color suit her very well.

5.png
5. I added more shadow to the parts needed to.

6.png
6. I added more darker brown to her eyebrows and added the base color for the body.

7.png
7. I added the base color for the background water and I added earrings and flowers because in my past drawings I didn't. Let's be extra today.

8.png
8. I added a light blue color above her so it will look like she's floating on water.

9.png
9. I added details to the hair and to the body too.

10.png
10. I added light colored lines where the water couldn't reach, so it will look like she's floating.

11.png
11. I added the first layer of highlights, and if you zoom in, you can see the droplets of water on her face. And the highlight on her eyes looks extra, but I like it.

12.png
12. For the final touches, I added some water movement feel to the water and added the final highlights. I added sparkle to make it look more like the sun reflecting on it.

This time there will be no timelapse video because I was unable to save it from the drawing app.
