Digital Drawing #5 I Named Her Love

Hi! everybody. How are you? Hope you're fine.

I wanted to share this artwork I created last week. We have this challenge where you create something based on the topic for that week.

The theme of the challenge from Artpark Weekly was "Self Love for Valentine Specials," and the challenge was to create art on self-love. With the passage of time and as someone who has been single for almost a decade, I can certainly relate to that.

I've come to learn that you don't need to rush through everything. love, in particular, I was terrified to love again since my heart had been broken. I become afraid when someone gives me the impression that they want to date me.

I promise myself that I will never love again. So tragic right? hihihi. We never know.

"So don't let love get you down."

So back to the art. Everyone has imperfections in their body. My art is about accepting that imperfection. Everything about this art has a meaning let's start with the hair the color of her hair represents love, confidence, strength, courage, determination. For me, the number one thing is accepting who you are in your hair.

I was bullied about my curly hair at the time, so I decided to straighten it every time it grew back. Tragic but true. I always get very conscious every time. But now I don't give a mind about what people say about my hair, so I dyed it red. hehehe.

My mother decided to appoint a hairdresser to straighten my curly hair because I was being bullied at the time because of it. The process is long and tiring, but it is well worth it to avoid being teased about my hair. Tragic, but real. Every time, I become fully conscious. But now I don't care what other people think of my hair, therefore I've colored it red. hahaha.

for the human body. Someone asked me what the meaning of this skeleton body was, and I remained silent hehehe. Isn't a skeleton body symbolic of death? But, it indicates to me that we are all the same on the inside but different on the outer. Do you get what I'm saying? I'm not sure how to describe that, but that's the easy explanation.

And I love to include a sunflower in every piece of art I make. I looked into what that meant. It also symbolizes healing, happiness, and good fortune. This is exactly what I'm looking for in my life right now. hehehe

What flower makes a piece of good luck for you?

Her looks make me feel calm. I'm so proud of myself for creating her. I hope she makes you calm too. 😃

Your drawing is awesome!!! It is perfectly imperfect! :) Just kidding... Along with everything that you wrote, I like those veins on her legs... that's another imperfection that suits perfectly showing the natural aging of humans... same goes for knees and even those sunflowers in the background are "following the story"... Thanks for sharing!

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project and it will be highlighted in the next post!
