Bear Matcha Dango Handmade Clay Keychain

Copy of Matcha strawberry donut.gif

Hello, how are you? This past few days whenever I woke up I always feel my throat is kind of dry and I know what that means it I am going to have cold and luckily it only took me a day and that sore throat is already gone, but... the annoying thing is that always happen EVERY SINGLE DAY! which is so weird so I like to sleep with my electric fan blasting until morning but one time I got scare and before the air got cold I turn it off and I guess it it kinda work but not until I discovered that the dust from the outside is comming into my room and inhaled all of that and our dogs causes that because they kept running and running. So my solution to that is to sprinkle water on the soil early in the morning and after no sore throat in the morning at all... haaaa.

I hate being sick so much, so now that everything is solve I am going to make a Matcha Dango Clay Keychain, but in bear form, which I am so itching to do now that I have the energy to do it. The dango I watch in anime is in white form, which is a glutinous rice flour look like hehehe. So yeah, I watch it in Gintama, love that anime. So yeah, I am going to make a food keychain in animal form.

Materials I Used:

  • Glass Sheet
  • Polymer Clay
  • Portable Clay
  • Toothpick
  • Toothbrush
  • Soft Pastels
  • Brush
  • Gum Container
  • Eyepin
  • Oven
  • UV Resin
  • Needle Tool
  • Mask
  • Disposable Gloves
  • UV Lamp
  • Keychain
  • Pliers

Craft Time!

Condition the clay using my hand until soft, and I weigh them equally in size using a portable weighing scale.

Then I shape them into a ball.

7.JPG

Using the toothpick, I poke into the clay I shaped earlier.

9.JPG

Then I added the ears.

10.JPG

11.JPG

I did it to the other clay.

12.JPG

13.JPG

To add texture, I use a toothbrush.

14.JPG

16.JPG

To deepen the color of the bear, I use soft pastel and a brush to add shade to the clay.

19.JPG

20.JPG

Then I use brown clay to add the eyes.

21.JPG

22.JPG

For the mouth part, I added white to the middle.

23.JPG

24.JPG

For the nose, I added another brown clay.

25.JPG

27.JPG

And for the lips, I roll up a thin line and shape it into a smile.

28.JPG

29.JPG

Then I added the eyepins.

Then I preheat the oven first, and then I bake it at the temperature and time as instructed on the packaging.

31.JPG

32.JPG

Let the clay cool off. To make the sweet glaze, I mix UV Resin and dark green soft clay, and then I apply it using a needle tool.

33.JPG

34.JPG

Then after that, I cure it under the UV Lamp for about 5 minutes.

36.JPG

38.JPG

Then, after that, I added the keychain using two pliers. What I do is I put in the jumpring to the eyepin and then lock it using pliers.
