Trapped in a Loop.

I attempted to reach the NSC converters under a time limit, but was quickly overwhelmed and pinned down by a major Hiss target. After a restart and some exploration through the ventilation area and the Janitor's office, I found myself going in circles.

After consulting a guide, I returned to Central Executive and successfully used the sector elevator to reach the Research Sector.

I had to get to the NSC energy converters within a limited time frame. I used fast travel from Central Executive, but as I approached the converter room, a group of Hiss ambushed me.

There was a major target that I had to eliminate along with the other Hiss soldiers. It looked like I was getting overwhelmed, and they pinned me down so fast that I couldn't escape.

When I came back after the restart, I didn't find any enemies there at all. Even though I was prepared for a massive battle this time, the hallway was strangely empty.

I went ahead and finally found a handful of regular Hiss soldiers who came to attack me. Since they weren't the major targets from before, I took them down easily.

I went inside a shelter, hoping I would find Marshall there. It turned out to be just a random shelter, providing a good place for me to hide and regroup away from the enemies.

I came out of the shelter and started taking down the floating Hiss enemies. They weren't attacking yet, but they could be a threat later, so I didn't take any chances.

I had to find Parapsychology to locate Marshall, but I was struggling to find it on the map. I ran through the Janitor's office and noticed Ahti was still calmly mopping his floor.

I waited for an elevator to arrive so I could take it down to the ventilation area. The atmosphere in these lower maintenance levels always feels much more oppressive.

After getting down to ventilation, I noticed the security soldiers were still fighting the Hiss. They kept coming back continuously, so I decided to leave that place rather than waste ammo.

After running around for some time, I checked a YouTube gameplay video and understood I had to go back to where I started. I used fast travel to return to the Central Executive.

After getting to Central Executive, I headed straight for the sector elevator. This is the main hub that connects the different wings of the Oldest House.

I stepped inside the elevator and selected the Research Sector. After a brief ride, the doors opened, and I finally reached the correct area to continue my search for Marshall.

What I understood from your gameplay is you have a chance of getting pinned down if you get cornered. So, you gotta keep distance from them like you're doing. It is weird how the enemies just vanished after the restart.

You got it perfectly. It was weird at the restart, but it was easier for me as well.

Getting ambushed by the Hiss near the converters sounded really intense. Moments like that make Control feel unpredictable and dangerous.

Yeah totally. And the visual was also intense in case you checked out.

It is funny how the security guards just keep fighting in ventilation. Leaving them to it sound like the best thing to do in that situation.

It's funny how Ahti is always calmly cleaning while chaos happens everywhere. His scenes always add a strange and mysterious vibe to the story.

I'm still not so sure about how these characters work, you know. I mean, he's a janitor, and he mops his office, ain't it weird?

Ahti really is the most relaxed person in the building while everything else is falling apart. Him mopping while the world ends is so fascinating.
