This is our first update since we started the witness on September 30 of this year.

On October 1st we made our official announcement; however, we had problems to synchronize, this led us to lose 5 blocks and we had to disable it for a few days. For the same reason, we brought forward the installation of HF26, which was activated on October 11, but a failure in the allocation of blocks to the backup witnesses did not allow us to produce blocks for two weeks.

Finally, on October 24, HF27 was activated and everything went smoothly! Since that day our node had been working perfectly, until a couple of days ago, due to an attack on Privex servers, we lost a new block, number 6.

Today we can say that we feel satisfied because in the face of the panorama, which sometimes was not favorable, we have done everything in our hands following the required steps properly and we have been vigilant that the witness runs smoothly.

Currently, we occupy the 81st position in the ranking, taking into account the short time that our witness has been running, we are still a newcomer, we are satisfied with this position. Of course, it is our desire to continue ascending in the positions to keep our witness active and make it self-sustainable, thus giving more sense to all the work that is done behind the scenes and trusting that it can become the impetus we need in La Colmena, to bring to the best term all our projects.

Development

Two of the activities that we anticipated in our Witness Announcement, is the desire to make La Colmena a gateway to Hive for the Spanish-speaking community and that we were also going to focus on application development, an area in which our community has not played an active role.

As a first step to achieve both goals, @ylich has developed an application to generate account creation tickets, thus facilitating onboarding, and we are pleased to announce that: the account creation system is now active!.

In this first stage only the members of our team (@eugelys, @equipodelta and @ylich) will be able to generate the links that will allow you to create the accounts, so if you want to create an account do not hesitate to contact them. Soon we will start the second stage, where you will be able to create the accounts yourselves, as other Hive onboarding systems work.

We started this program with a current availability of 75 @la-colmena accounts and 246 @ylich accounts. With the active link, the user can create the account directly at https://la-colmena.me/referidos/.

Resource Credits (RC)

In order to increase the available number of accounts and to be able to move on to the second phase, in which we will also offer to place the referrer among the beneficiaries of the new account posts, we need to increase the availability of Resource Credits (RC).

Fortunately, most users have large amounts available and most of them don't need it, so we rely on them to delegate as much as possible to our account. There are several mechanisms to delegate RC, among them the easiest one is Hive Keychain. If you have it installed, just go to the delegations section of the wallet and from there you can do it easily.

Caracas Blockchain Week

La Colmena was also present at Caracas Blockchain Week, through the participation of @ylich, as part of the team that attended the Hive booth, Four days of intense marketing and networking activity, an extraordinary window in which the entire team showed an unquestionable commitment to our platform.

Encuentros Colmeneros (Meet Ups)

Although the Encuentros Colmeneros as such, have not started to take place, we have already been participating in events to promote and disseminate Hive. Such was the participation of @eugelys in the Hive Petite event, organized by @geadriana in the city of Cumaná, which also had the participation of @edwardstobia. In this event, five participants were onboarded through the accounts of @la-colmena.

Interviews and virtual meetings.

Among other aspects that we had announced that we were going to resume, are the activities in the Discord of La Colmena, in which we have already developed two Virtual Meetings and where @equipodelta and @eugelys began to carry out the space "Interview in La Colmena", in which we started talking about the topic of witnesses in Hive, which in two wonderful events we had the participation of @eddiespino, representing the witness @aliento, as the first guest and with @empoderat, for the second event, representing the witness @empo. witness.

Versión en español

Esta es nuestra primera actualización desde que iniciamos el testigo el 30 de septiembre de este año.

El 1° de octubre hicimos nuestro anuncio oficial; sin embargo, tuvimos problemas para sincronizar, esto conllevó a que perdiéramos 5 bloques y nos vimos en la obligación de inhabilitarlo por unos días. Por esa misma razón, adelantamos la instalación del HF26, el cual se activó el día 11 de octubre, mas una falla en la asignación de bloques a los testigos de respaldo no nos permitió producir bloques por dos semanas.

Finalmente, el 24 de octubre se activó el HF27 ¡Y todo marchó viento en popa! Desde ese día nuestro nodo había estado funcionando perfectamente, hasta hace un par de días, debido un ataque a los servidores de Privex, perdimos un nuevo bloque, el número 6.

Hoy podemos decir que nos sentimos satisfechos pues ante el panorama, que algunas veces no fue favorable, hemos hecho todo lo que ha estado en nuestras manos siguiendo los pasos requeridos de forma adecuada y hemos estado vigilantes de que el testigo corra sin inconvenientes.

Actualmente, ocupamos la posición 81 en el ranking, tomando en cuenta el poco tiempo que lleva nuestro testigo, todavía somos un nuevos, estamos satisfechos con esta posición. Claro está, es nuestro deseo continuar ascendiendo en las posiciones para mantener activo nuestro testigo y lograr que sea autosustentable, dándole así más sentido a todas las labores que se realizar tras bastidores y confiando en que se pueda convertir en el impulso que necesitamos en La Colmena, para llevar al mejor término todos nuestros proyectos.

Desarrollo

Dos de las actividades que les anticipamos en nuestro Anuncio de Testigo, es el deseo de convertir a La Colmena en una puerta de entrada a Hive para la comunidad de habla hispana y que además íbamos a apostar por el desarrollo de aplicaciones, un área en que nuestra comunidad no ha tenido un rol activo.

Como primer paso para lograr ambos objetivos, @ylich ha desarrollado una aplicación para generar tickets de creación de cuentas, para así facilitar el onboarding, y nos complace anunciarles que: ¡Ya el sistema de creación de cuentas está activo!

En esta primera etapa solo los integrantes de nuestro equipo (@eugelys, @equipodelta e @ylich) podrán generar los enlaces que permitirán crear las cuentas, por lo tanto, si deseas crear alguna cuenta no dudes en contactarles. Próximamente iniciaremos la segunda etapa, dónde ustedes mismos podrán crear sus cuentas, tal como funcionan otros sistemas de onboarding de Hive.

Dimos inicio a este programa con una disponibilidad actual de 75 cuentas de @la-colmena y 246 cuentas de @ylich. Con el link activo, el usuario puede abrir la cuenta directamente en https://la-colmena.me/referidos/.

Créditos de recursos (RC)

Para poder aumentar el número disponible de cuentas y poder pasar a la segunda fase, en la cual también ofreceremos colocar a quien refiere, entre los beneficiarios de las publicaciones de la cuenta nueva, necesitamos aumentar la disponibilidad de Recursos de Créditos (Resource Credits o RC).

Afortunadamente, la mayoría de los usuarios disponen de grandes cantidades disponibles y que la mayor parte no la necesitan, así que contamos con que puedan delegar la mayor cantidad posible a nuestra cuenta. Hay varios mecanismos para delegar RC, entre ellos el más sencillo es Hive Keychain. Si lo tienes instalado, solo debes ir a la sección de delegaciones del monedero y desde allí puedes hacerlo con facilidad.

Caracas Blockchain Week

La Colmena también se hizo presente en la Caracas Blockchain Week, a través de la participación de @ylich, como parte del equipo que atendió el stand de Hive, Cuatro días de intensa actividad de marketing y networking, una ventana extraordinaria en la que todo el equipo mostró un compromiso indiscutible con nuestra plataforma.

Encuentros Colmeneros

Aunque los Encuentros Colmeneros como tal, no se han empezado a realizar, ya hemos venido participando en eventos de promoción y difusión de Hive. Tal fue la participación de @eugelys en el evento Hive Petite, organizado por @geadriana en la ciudad de Cumaná, que también contó con la participación de @edwardstobia. En este evento se hizo el onboarding de cinco participantes, a través de las cuentas de @la-colmena.

Entrevistas y encuentros virtuales.

Entre otros aspectos que habíamos anunciado que íbamos a retomar, están las actividades en el Discord de La Colmena, en el cual ya hemos desarrollado dos Encuentros Virtuales y donde @equipodelta y @eugelys empezaron a llevar a cabo el espacio "Entrevista en La Colmena", en las que se dio inicio hablando sobre el tema de los testigos en Hive, que en dos maravillosos eventos contamos con las participaciones de @eddiespino, en representación del testigo @aliento, como primer invitado y con @empoderat, para el segundo evento, en representación del testigo @empo.witness.
