Vegan Shopping:Pasta

Hi Plant Based community, back here after a long time, I have a lot of pictures to show you, I have to organize it and make the posts. I read recently that the vegan shopping challenge is back, this time pasta, hehe just that day I was shopping for food and seeing what to buy for Santiago (he is 2 and a half years old and he gets a little picky with food).

He likes pasta, but he cuts it in shapes, so that was my personal challenge. I went to a store in Merida that has a lot of variety of food, initially it was only pastries, but it was growing, I always look for peanuts and chocolate there, but in the groceries there are always interesting things, and I tell you they were stocking pasta.
The store is called SURAKI is in the center of the city, in its entire pasta aisle there was a great variety, with egg, only semolina, quinoa. There were also long, short, pasticho sheets.

There was a variety of national brands and price ranges from 0.89$ to 2$, I was looking at it and reading the ingredients, with egg we don't particularly like, they are weird, we try to always use semolina, another aspect is the color, there are some opaque pastas and others of a faint yellow color.

Another detail that I take into account is the cooking time, that influences whether it is good or doughy. One of the ideas I had was to buy colored pasta, but it was mission failed guys.

So I looked for one with nice shapes, that was short, so Santiago can grab it with a fork or spoon without stressing (tantrum age).

I found this special edition of Capri, with the shape of Ñoqui, and it seemed to me an accessible price, to try it, what I liked the most is the shell shape because it is not watery, it has a suitable shape and size and comfortable for Santiago.

That was the one I bought, I could not take more pictures because the guy called my attention that you can not take pictures (if I am advertising) but I share the picture with the final purchase at home.

Pd: It was a success with Santi, he didn?t fight and he ate everything what a happiness

Hola comunidad Plant Based, de nuevo por aca después de mucho, tengo muchas fotitos que mostrarles, debo organizarlo y hacer los post. Lei hace poco que regreso el reto de compras veganas, en esta ocasión pastas, jeje justo ese día estaba comprando comida y viendo que le compraba a Santiago (Tiene 2 años y medio y se pone un poco exigente con la comida)

A él le gusta la pasta, pero la corta con formas, así que ese era mi reto personal. Fui a un comercio en Mérida que tienen mucha variedad de alimentos, inicialmente era solo repostería, pero fue creciendo, siempre busco el mani y chocolate ahí, pero en los víveres siempre hay cosas interesantes, y les cuento estaban surtiendo de pastas.

El comercio se llama SURAKI está en pleno centro de la ciudad, en su pasillo completo de pasta había gran variedad, con huevo, solo sémola, de quinoa. También había entre largas, cortas, láminas de pasticho.

Había variedad de marcas nacionales y rangos de precio desde 0,89$ a 2$, fui viéndola y leyendo los ingredientes, con huevo particularmente no nos gusta, quedan raras, tratamos que sea siempre de sémola, otro aspecto es el color, hay algunas pastas opacas y otras de un color amarillo tenue.

Otro detalle que tengo en cuenta el tiempo de cocción, eso influye para que quede bien o pastosa. Una de las ideas que llevaba era comprar pastas de colores, pero fue misión fallida chicos.

Asi que busque una de formas bonitas, que fuese corta, para que Santiago la agarre con tenedor o cuchara sin que se estrese (Edad de berrinche)

Encontré esta edición especial de Capri, con forma de Ñoqui, y me parecio un precio accesible, para probar que tal nos iba, lo que mas me gusto es la forma de caparazón porque asi no queda aguada, tiene una forma y tamaño adecuado y comodo para Santiago

Esa fue la que compre, no les pude tomar mas fotos porque el chico me llamo la atención que no se pueden tomar fotos (si les estoy haciendo publicidad) pero les comparto la foto con la compra final en casa

Pd: Fue un éxito con Santi, no peleo y se comió todo que felicidad

Hola @kyleana, gusto en verte otra vez por la comunidad. Me alegro que Santi esté bien, aunque en la edad difícil de ponerse aún más exigente con la comida, jajajaja. Buena compra la que hiciste, esa pasta es suave y deliciosa y a él le debe gustar por el tamaño y la forma. Recuerda adicionar una foto del empaque por detrás, en donde están los componentes de la pasta, que aunque yo sé que es sin huevo, es una de las exigencias del concurso. Saludos.

Holaaaa hola, cómo estas? Si ahí está, es la 💚 verde. Hoy me di cuenta que no le tome de frente al paquete solo jeje . Solo al revés y conmigo 🤣🤣. Oye si es muy difícil, lo que no falla es el maní parece un elefante
