Another lockdown? I certainly won't mind

Hello everyone, welcome to my entry for the hive learners weekly featured contents and today's topic is impromptu lockdown.

I have only experienced one lockdown and that was during the COVID-19 era which actually took the whole world by surprise. I agree that it had a very drastic effect on the world's economy as most businesses had to shut down but in a way, it also led to a high increase in remote jobs as a lot of people started working from home.

I actually didn't have any issues with the COVID-19 lockdown but I guess that's because I wasn't much of an outdoor person to begin with. The people that were most affected were those that have physical jobs and also people that enjoy being outdoors, visiting various sites, or just attending parties but all these don't apply to me, and just like the saying goes; one man's food is another man's poison.

What if there is another lockdown?

It might be selfish and totally absurd to say that I actually liked the last lockdown but that's just the truth. The major downside of it was that a lot of people lost their lives due to the lockdown and also some people lost their jobs but I experienced tremendous growth during those periods I was couped up in the house and I utilized that ample time in learning a few skills that I still use till now. Being stuck in another lockdown will give me a lot of time to improve some of those skills.

For example; I started learning programming during the COVID-19 lockdown but I have had to suspend it a couple of times because of the heavy academic workload at my university. Having another lockdown will provide me a lot of time to focus on programming and drastically improve my skills and maybe even start working professionally too.

In addition to that, another lockdown will give me more time to be focused on blogging. I have been barely active on hive because of the same reason I gave above (school). This also answers the question of how I will be able to cope if another lockdown happens; blogging. I'm pretty confident that I will be able to earn enough on hive to be able to survive another lockdown.

I will mostly use my earnings to stock up on food and drinks, these are the most essential things when it comes to staying indoors for a very long time. Add a steady power supply and a very good internet connection, you won't see me outdoors for months. One thing I have learned from my mom when it comes to food is to buy them in bulk, and that's what I will do when another lockdown hits.

The only time I will go out is when my food stock has gone down and I need to restock. One important thing I need to keep in mind is staying fit during the whole lockdown. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I started getting fat after a couple of months (not surprising) and I knew I had to start exercising in order to keep things in check, luckily for me there are several exercise apps on Google playstore and I made use of some of them to stay fit. That's what I will also do if another lockdown was to happen.

As for worrying about work, I'm not really a fan of physical jobs and in fact, one of my dreams is to work remotely from the comfort of my home which is very common in the world of programming. As long as I have hive and other crypto blogging platforms, I'm pretty sure I will be able to cope very well in another lockdown. Besides, if there's one thing we learned from the last lockdown it's that cryptocurrency tends to do very well when everyone is locked up indoors; that's certainly a perk.

But in all these, there's one question that is currently going through my head; will my country be able to handle another lockdown? Probably not. The last lockdown affected the world's economy and so many countries haven't fully recovered and that is including mine. Inflation is at its highest right now and poverty has increased too. So, even if I will be able to handle an impromptu lockdown right now, will the world be able to handle it?

So let's say,,, you're indirectly wishing for another school strike to occur so that you'll have enough time 😂😂😂.

It's very true, Crypto was good during the last lock down and that was because a lot of people had time for it

😂 yes o, indirectly I want another strike but in the end I have just one year remaining for me in school before I graduate, so let them just hold the strike for now 😆

You might be able to survive, but feeding will eventually finish. You would have to restock. Power might be an issue and you would need to get fuel for your generator. So many factors would come into play to make the lockdown very unbearable. But you will see it through.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

The main thing is to find multiple ways of earning money online. I can always come out of the house go buy foods or fuel, as long as I have money. Thanks for stopping by
