Hola amigos de @hive y la comunidad de @gems, al ver esta iniciativa, creada por la amiga @yolimarag, sentí la necesidad de participar y aunque hayan pasado algunos días desde su creación, es una prueba de que “como dice el dicho”, nunca es tarde. Sobre todo por el tema de esta maravillosa iniciativa, como lo es, hablar un poco de nuestras tres canciones de gaita preferidas; dado que desde muy temprana edad se despertó mi gusto por esta música, autóctona del Estado Zulia y que se ha convertido en patrimonio cultural de Venezuela. Entonces, los invito que me acompañen en este emocionante viaje, al mundo de los recuerdos musicales y compartir con ustedes, esas tres canciones inolvidables. ¡Acompáñenme!

Hello friends of @hive and the @gems community, when I saw this initiative, created by my friend @yolimarag, I felt the need to participate and although it has been a few days since its creation, it is proof that "as the saying goes", it is never too late. Especially because of the theme of this wonderful initiative, as it is, to talk a little about our three favourite gaita songs; given that from a very early age my taste for this music, native to the State of Zulia and which has become part of Venezuela's cultural heritage, was awakened. So, I invite you to join me on this exciting journey into the world of musical memories and to share with you these three unforgettable songs. Join me!
Mi primer lugar es para una gaita emblemática, una que es imperdible y sobre todo cuando visitamos a la tierra del sol amada; y es esa que nos explica un poco lo que siente una persona cuando cruza el majestuoso puente “General Rafael Urdaneta”, ya sea para entrar o salir de Maracaibo. Es en realidad una emoción inexplicable que nos llena el pecho de sentimiento. Es algo único que solo las personas que han cruzado mientras oye la canción, saben de lo que les hablo jajaja. Sin embargo, todos los amantes de la música pueden acceder a esta experiencia. Este tema data de los años 70 y es original del Sr. Norberto Pirela, aunque su éxito se masificó en la interpretación del grupo Cardenales del Éxito, en la voz del Colosal Ricardo Cepeda. Una canción que sencillamente me encanta.
My first place goes to an emblematic gaita, one that is not to be missed, especially when we visit the land of the beloved sun; and it is the one that explains a little of what a person feels when crossing the majestic "General Rafael Urdaneta" bridge, either to enter or leave Maracaibo. It is really an inexplicable emotion that fills our chest with feeling. It is something unique that only people who have crossed while listening to the song, know what I am talking about hahaha. However, all music lovers can access this experience. This song dates back to the 70's and is an original by Mr. Norberto Pirela, although its success was massified in the interpretation of the group Cardenales del Éxito, in the voice of the Colossal Ricardo Cepeda. A song that I simply love.
En el segundo puesto, llevo con gran cariño una gaita especial llamada “Algo Sobrenatural” y aunque siempre me ha gustado por su letra y su ritmo sabroso; es por el hecho de que la compartía con un amigo de la infancia que ya partió de este mundo, por problemas de salud.
Pues mi pana Francisco va esta dedicatoria, dado que si hay una gaita que improvisamos en algún momento, con su acompañamiento en el cuatro, nos dejó ese recuerdo imborrable. Como no agregar este tema de los años 90, del grupo Gran Coquivacoa en la voz de Neguito Borjas.
Este espacio es para ti, hermano Francisco Ferrer, el popular Chipi; siempre fuiste un excelente ser humano y amigo de todos.
In second place, I carry with great affection a special gaita called "Algo Sobrenatural" and although I have always liked it for its lyrics and its tasty rhythm, it is because I shared it with a childhood friend who has passed from this world, due to health problems.
Well, my friend Francisco goes this dedication, because if there is a gaita that we improvised at some point, with its accompaniment on the cuatro, he left us that indelible memory. How could I not add this song from the 90s, by the group Gran Coquivacoa in the voice of Neguito Borjas.
This space is for you, brother Francisco Ferrer, the popular Chipi; you were always an excellent human being and a friend to all.
Y para finalizar, debo reconocer lo difícil que resulta escoger solamente 3 canciones, entre tantas gaitas hermosas, pero debo hacer honor a los grandes clásicos, del rico y extenso género de la gaita zuliana; y lo haré con el más grande, con el monumental Don Ricardo Aguirre y su Grey Zuliana, aquel tema que pasó de ser un éxito, a convertirse en el himno del marabino por excelencia. La imponente voz del nacido en la comunidad de Veritas y que llevó este género musical a otro nivel, junto a su grupo “El Saladillo”, inmortalizaron esta hermoso y magistral tema, con su potente e inigualable tono de voz. Esta gaita pasó a ser una pieza que va más allá de la música, dado que representa la identidad propia de los “maracuchos” en pleno.
And to finish, I must admit how difficult it is to choose only 3 songs, among so many beautiful gaitas, but I must honour the great classics of the rich and extensive genre of the gaita zuliana; and I will do it with the greatest, with the monumental Don Ricardo Aguirre and his Grey Zuliana, that song that went from being a hit, to become the hymn of the marabino par excellence. The imposing voice of the man born in the community of Veritas, who took this musical genre to another level, together with his group "El Saladillo", immortalised this beautiful and masterful theme, with his powerful and unequalled voice tone. This gaita became a piece that goes beyond music, since it represents the identity of the "maracuchos" in full.
Ha sido un placer, volver a escuchar estos temas mientras escribo estas líneas. Un momento de gratos recuerdos de amistades de la infancia y viajes a Maracaibo, una tierra extensa por su espacio geográfico y aún más por el calor de su gente. Ni hablar de sus ricos patacones y la belleza de sus plazas. Participar en esta iniciativa tuvo efectos de una terapia de relajación y nostalgia, pero también de memorias que forman parte de mi vida.

It has been a pleasure to listen to these songs again as I write these lines. A moment of pleasant memories of childhood friendships and trips to Maracaibo, a vast land for its geographical space and even more for the warmth of its people. Not to mention its delicious patacones and the beauty of its squares. Participating in this initiative had the effect of a therapy of relaxation and nostalgia, but also of memories that are part of my life.
